Yacht/Beach Club Cancellation Likelihood?

I've come into some extra cash so was considering an upgrade to Beach or Yacht Club (from POR), because I love the look of Stormalong Bay and the EPCOT proximity. We're going May 8-14.

How likely are cancellations? I know I should just check daily; I'm just trying to get a sense of my chances. Any tips or words of wisdom would be appreciated.

I think they're pretty good. I know I personally just cancelled a stay at beach club may 9-14. We needed to push our trip back a few weeks. People change resorts and plans all the time

With DVC it is not likely, however I do not know for regular rooms. Good luck!!! That pool is awesome.

I lucked out recently with a DVC cancellation. Hope it works out.

Did you just obsessively check? I'm not a DVC member so it's a regular reservation I would make.

Pretty sure it's like 30 days for a package and 5 days for a room only reservation. Check frequently from 45 days on and I would assume you'll get it.

As a side note the beach/yacht club is great. Budget some time for the pool though. It's amazing.
