ya gotta hear this....

so i take ds to the dr's today and apparently i'm not winning "mother of the year" award because he has a double ear infection and swimmers ear. so ear drops and antibiotics. so i'm thinking -infection/fever, right? wrong the dr. says. he can have an infection and no fever. which is what we have going on. oh well, maybe i can win next year!!!!!

so i take him to rite aid to drop off prescription and he asked if we can go the the special bakery and get a goodie. well "of course" i say. so we come out and my sunroof was open and a big giant hornet flys in my car and ds says........
oh ya gotta hear this........

"MOMMY! look at the size of that horton!!!!"

are ya kiddin me?! i was laughing so hard. i said "john, its a hornet, not a horton!!!"

we get home and he tells dh that we had a big giant horton in the car with us and dh is like

i am still laughing about it!
out of the mouths of babes, really!!!

Double ear infections/swimmers ear.. yep, dealt w/ that with DsS and DS11... we ended up putting tubes in DS11's ears because we were in the pedi office about like every other day... no fevers... but the bulging ear drums.. poor kid...

Yep, you are still up for Mom of the year.. you at least take your son to the doctor.. I've got a few stories to tell ya sometime about the MOM who should NEVER be mom of the year.. she should have NEVER been allowed to have kids...(NOPE, it's not me nor anyone on these boards!!!)

Oh wow Holly! Your poor little guy! I think we all have moments like that as mothers. Both of mine are coughing their heads off and I keep debating if I should take them both back to the doctor.

My little bit had 4 sinus infections in a row last year, so no awards here either.
