Forget the resort; I think a ride would be a better idea. . .

"Coming in '05 to Epcot. . . A Journey Through Shannon's Brain . . guests will board their "Tinkle Linkle Machines" for a wild and wooly adventure through a land of green pancakes, blue eggs, and Sonic drive-ins. . "

And if you're lucky, you might be the lucky rider of a repeat ride (almost as good as a double post;)).

Depending on the CM's that could be an E-ticket encounter! Now why didn't they consult us before they built Pop Century? :p

Ok....I've found a Mickey sink for your resort Shannon but no toilet.....yet.

Or there is this one.

I like these faucet handles too.

They could even offer to sell the furniture and fixtures like they do at the W resorts to help defray the costs. I've had my eye on that Mickey Mouse Headboard in the catalog...I'd go for a Mickey Mouse head shaped bed if I didn't have to pay the shipping.

I lope the idea of a solid Mickey resort!!

Brown Eyes, I thought of you and this thread as I am reading a book on WDW and read a section on *projects that are on the drawing board, but have yet to jump off it* one of them is indeed a Mickey Mouse resort - with Mickey stuff everywhere...the entire building to be shaped as the Mickster...it is to my understanding that it has yet to make it off the drawing board, as they don't want to *over-do* Mickey Mouse...IMHO I have to agree.

It also mentioned a couple of things that are off the drawing board and are works in progress: A Mediterranean style (another DVC) resort to be built adjacent to the Wilderness Lodge, with the idea of a boardwalk style between the two. Also a monorail to connect Epcot and MGM (and possibly the area resorts - we all know that the Swan and Dolphin were built for monorail access...) :)

Madonna31, I hope they decide to finish up with their idea.:) I don't think there can be too much of the Mouse.:) But Mickey's my favorite WDW character.:) Thanks for the info on the project.:)

Nicole, I love that sink!:bounce:

Hmmmmmmm... The "tinkle-linkle" machine could just be the colors of mickey... like the base could be red, like his shorts, and the bottom be yellow, like his shoes... and so on. Although, then it might seem like your pooping in his lap... ;)

BTW, i love this thread!

I don't think there can be too much of the Mouse
Oh - I couldn't agree with you more...he's my fav character too...that wasn't what I meant...you see I think that the idea of Mickey not *being in your face all the time* is pure marketing genius - that would kind of take away from the yearning to see him if he was all over the place - hence the *hidden Mickeys*...

Ever stop to notice that Mickey does not appear in any attraction in WDW (except that brief spot in Muppet Vision 4D) and have you ever noticed for that 2 second spot in MV that you see Mickey - the audience *gushes* over him...if Mickey was everywhere you turned - people wouldn't gush the same - some would actually get bored with him - just think of how much you like a particular song until the radio plays it to death...not so much your favourite song anymore is it?

Why is it that right before Disney re-releases a WDW cartoon to the theatre you can not find merchandise from that particular movie ANYWHERE??? To build the desire to purchase as much stuff from that movie as possible. People crave the memorabilia from the movie so much that they buy everything when the movie is released...IMHO - brilliant marketing strategy. I think that this is the same idea - this is also the reason that we didn't see much of Stitch - Disney could have put him EVERYWHERE in WDW and it would have worked, but they decided not to - to leave Stitch to be desired; as they are doing with Mickey...

I went through the Dog Gone Maze at Epcot yesterday just so I could see the Stitch topiary. :teeth: It was worth it, so cute!!!

I agree that there can never be too much Mickey!!
I would stay there in a heart beat!!!

And the sink with Mickey & Minnie on it is listed for almost $800. I asked Home Depot if it will be the same price once they have it in stock and I was told it will be a little cheaper.

We are finally finishing our bathroom downstairs and it's going to be all Mickey.
Now do I get the sink or buy DH and my Annual Passes???

Thanks, CruiserDew73. LOL! I think I'd love to have one of those tinkle linkle machines you described.:) It sounds perfect (except for the pooping in Mickey's lap:teeth: ).:)

Madonna31, I see your point.:) I remember when we went to WDW in 2000 my ds wanted to see Goofy, and only Goofy. We looked all over the parks for him and finally saw him on our last day of the trip. That made my ds want Goofy stuff all the time.:) I guess less is more.:) The less we see, the more we want to see.:)

PJ, you went to WDW without us?:teeth: I hope you had a good trip.:)

Nicole, $800! Well, if I ever win the lottery, I'll buy a few of them for that price.:teeth: Um, go for the APs.:p

What? Stitch? Where? How on earth did I miss that? What the heck is the Dog Gone Maze at Epcot???

I am proud to say that I have no kids and my DH and I stood in line to take pictures with Lilo and Stitch at MGM Studios - NEED MORE STITCH!!! - in fact I might just have to go on Alien Encounter again after they add the Stitch-meister...:p
