could be....but I still think that Emily is the real patty.....me thinks that patty became a shrink and stole the identity/face of one of her patients that she had coming to her private practice. One that she could easily brainwashed and had no family and work in sessions day in and day out telling her that she is really Patty and telling her over and over stories of who she is and feeding her stories of her life....patty's life.

After time she was able to convince the now patty that she really is patty. Total brainwashing of someone that would never know the difference.

I believe Victor when he said he had nothing to do with the surgery....and never had seen Emily in his life. He was to surprised for it. I think Patty somehow set it up for her out be found. Maybe he got letters from Patty saying that she would help him with revenge against Jack. So he decided to take her up on it.

Its all an elaborate scheme. And The one that will figure this out will be Nina.....

By the way Victor cant say what he has done or not done.....it will incriminate him. He did tell his kids he brought her to town but had nothing to do with her appearance.

And if this does not stand up...than the person who is patty will be the mother of Ryder.....after all they were having the actress as mentioned who played patty in the past as her...unless they have changed the story line. She(mysterious woman/Ryder's mom?) is still nuts and the way she is controlling everyone, and has $$$$ and means....she is for sure able to set up an elaborate plan. Even on Victor without him knowing.....what a coo that would be....either story would be fun.

I thought of the "Emily is really Patty" thing but what about her credentials etc. Of course this is a soap and it was all elaborately faked..... I do like the idea and Emily/Patty would not be so crazy as she is conniving... I still say Sheila is Ryder and Daisy's mother....

Like I have mentioned before....I think she new patty as a friend first in the nut house. They both were released and patty started her plan way before hand. She stole Emily's identity...not hard to do.....and went to school to become a shrink. Remember no one saw her for eons, they all lost track of her and she could not be found.....even Paul couldn't find her and he's a PI.

so she gets her degree as a shrink...not sure if she is a psychiatrist or a psycologist....doing this with all intentions of getting back Jack.

No one knows what patty had been up to for years....she steals the identity, continues brainwashing Emily to think she is patty....after all shrinks now best not to mention many shrinks need a shrink.....takes her on as a patient.....meanwhile building a good reputation and getting $$$ to put her scheme into play.....than the time comes.....she sends letters to Victor knowing he could help with her plan...saying she wants to get revenge on Jack when in reality she just wants to use him in case her plans go wrong as they did using Victor as the fall out guy....

WE can come up with many soap opera crazy story lines....after all it's a soap opera....

She manages to slip out (possibly with the help of someone else ... ?) and dyes her hair and kidnaps Emily! Apparently she also tries to dye Emily's hair blond and turn her into the police, but this doesn't go as planned, so she needs to do something else?

So yes, there will be a Patty/Emily swap in the near future, around Valentines Day (this is when Jack and Emily are planning on getting married)

I hope you guys are right! I am hoping for a Patty/Emily swap!! At least it gives me something to look forward to!! ……that is, besides JT and Victoria having the inevitable breakup (to go to Billy?, Mac? ). I know they’re married IRL but they have absolutely NO chemistry on-screen!

Then again, I am also waiting for the Sharon/Ashley/Adam revelation also, but that’ll probably be uneventful! It'll just be poor Sharon being an idiot, after declaring that she's gotten herself together, as the whole world watches all over again! Noah said it all-“You’ve got enuf drastic for the both of us”.

So…I was reading The Year in Soaps, and had a few pieces of trivia to share! (maybe you already knew this but it’s news to me!)

So that seals the deal!!! In the preview for Thurs, Jack says to Paul-“Remember, Patty changed her face to look like Emily!” (After Paul said, something like-- don’t you think it’s strange that you are marrying the woman who looks like Patty?). There’s gotta be an Emily/Patty twist in the works!! You guys hit the nail on the head! I think Emily is really Patty, and she’d stolen Emily’s ID at some point in time!! Ohhhhhohoho….this is gonna be good!!!

The only thing is that it doesn’t explain Victor’s involvement. He says he doesn’t know abt any plastic surgery, but when we saw Victor initially speaking to the woman who was coming to GC, she had bandages on her face, didn’t she? Did Victor see Patty with the bandages, or did they only speak over the phone? Victor must have known what Patty used to look like, when she came to town and they met why wouldn’t he have questioned her appearance? In order to find her he had to have used old pictures, right?

Speaking of Jack….How short is his/our memory? Can he really be so judgmental and unforgiving of Billy? Didn’t Jack sleep with Jill while she was still his dad’s wife? Didn’t he also use Restless Style for his own revenge? ..and wasn’t it also Jack who has spent his life being stupid, selfish and vengeful, all in the name of trying to regain Jabot?
