Y&R take 3 - SPOILERS inside

With Victoria and JT's marriage coming to an end, JT rediscovers his feelings for Mac this week, which leads the ex-lovers to a passionate kiss.

It all starts when Victoria tells JT she petitioned the court to set aside their previous custody ruling, but JT refuses to back down. JT sees the bad things that happen when Victor controls his family, and he doesn't want Reed's future to be jeopardized by being around the dysfunctional Newmans. He is adamant about gaining sole custody.

Frustrated with the situation, Victoria ends up slapping JT. Says Thad Luckinbill, "She really slapped me. She hit me pretty hard! She's been waiting to do that for while. There were some definite things I did wrong at home that she went and took out on me at work. Apparently she slapped Billy Miller pretty hard too. I said, 'Amelia, you've got to let your fingers break. You don't actually cup your hand.' She didn't just hit me with her fingers. She hit me with the bottom of her hand. That's why it hurt. For a second, I started crying and got down in the fetal position. It was funny."

After JT and Victoria's argument, JT talks with Mac about his marital situation and the two ex's end up in a passionate kiss. "It definitely catches them off guard," says Luckinbill. "It's one of these deals where they've had a huge history. They think a lot of each other and are very close. They're both in a very bad position. It's a situation where they need each other for comfort. Then, the next thing you know, they realize that maybe there are some feelings still there from years ago."

Later, Victoria and JT meet up for another chat and they decide they want to change things for Reed's sake. They decide to work together as parents and do what's best for their son. However, the condition is that Victoria must keep Reed away from Victor.

As Victoria and JT continue talking, Mac lets herself into JT's apartment by using his key, which ruins the civility of the moment. Victoria tells Mac, "If you think you're going to step into my shoes and be a mom to Reed... blah, blah, blah." Her words are scathing.

Angry, Victoria tells JT she's taking him back to court.

What happens next? Stay tuned.

My thoughts:
Sometimes I forget that Amelia and Thad are actually married in real life. I'm sure Amelia got a kick out of hitting her real life husband!

Patty Leaves Emily for Dead!

Patty pulls another switcheroo this weak when she leaves an incapacitated Emily in a morgue -- ready for an autopsy!

Jack and "Emily" share an emotional reunion at the mental hospital. Paul calls Jack and tells him Patty has taken off and he warns him to look after his wife. However, it appears to be too late when Emily wakes up on a slab in the morgue and she realizes where she is. "She's freaked out," explains Stacy Haiduk. "She can't move because she's drugged. She screams out in her mind and she's so scared."

As it turns out, Patty has injected Emily with a drug to make her appear dead. Her condition mimics a coma. Her vital signs (including her heart rate) have slowed way down. Emily is also wearing a toe tag with the name "Jane Doe" on it.

Paul and Heather show up at the hospital and they tell Jack and "Emily" that Patty is there somewhere. As Paul and Heather leave to search for her, Jack grows suspicious of the woman in his arms and decides to test her. "Jack starts asking her questions," explains Stacy Haiduk. "Patty just wants to get out of there. She gets desperate, a little emotional and edgy. Jack is like, 'Wait a minute.' He starts getting a little confused. He's starting to realize something's wrong."

Later, Jack notices a scratch on patty's arm. When Paul and Heather return and report that the hospital is in lockdown, Jack tells them they don't have to look any further for Patty -- because she's right in the room. "Patty isn't giving in," explains Haiduk. "She says, 'I don't know what you're talking about. I'm Emily. I can't believe you're doing this again.' She puts all the responsibility on Jack, but he keeps arguing for her to stop."

Jack insists that Patty tell him where Emily is, but Patty tells him it's too late.

Meanwhile, Emily is panicked when she hears the machine ready to cut into her. She's absolutely terrified. Just then, Jack bursts into the morgue and cradles Emily in his arms, believing she's dead. "Jack thinks it's all his fault and starts getting very emotional," explains Haiduk. "Emily can still feel, and Jack notices a tear in her eye. He finds a pulse, but she's close to dying. Them Emily starts to say, 'Adrenaline,' but it's very, very faint. They get the adrenaline there just in time. After Emily is injected, she takes a breath."

Meanwhile, Paul is with his psychotic sister. "Patty's not happy," says Haiduk. "She doesn't want to go back to the life she was living before, in the cell." So, Patty grabs the syringe she used on Emily and holds it to her own throat. She threatens to kill herself. "She's pretty much done," sighs Haiduk. "She doesn't have a reason to live. She doesn't get to be with Jack anymore, and she really doesn't want to live in a padded cell. She's scared. Paul pleads with her, but Patty remains very calm. She has made up her mind that this is it. She says her goodbyes to Paul and tells him that she loves him, but this is the only way..."

Emily needs to go get a tattoo now - somewhere hidden like above her...... or on the back of her neck under her hair.

that way when Patty doesn't kill herself and escapes again they don't have to go through all this over and over and over and over and over again

I'm so glad to see this Emily/Patty thing done. It was getting too, too stupid.

Funny that you should post this!! I was watching yesterday's episode on the DVR today and it looks like she already has one on her shoulder. She had that light pink shirt on and there was definitely something there. Have we never seen Pemily's bare shoulder before??

Please tell me we dont' have to endure this Pemily thing much longer. Oh, and to the writer who had said we wouldn't be disappointed- the whole Daisy/Ryder tormenting Lauren thing- totally anticlamactic (sp?)- It really fizzled rather than exploded. It sucked. There was no purpose- it was awful. The only thing that MIGHT save Pemily is how fabulous the actress is- how good an actor "Jack" is and how pitiful a character Paul is. Now, let's wrap this up shall we?

I still say the writers had no idea where they were going with the Deacon story, and just wrote the Lauren/Sara thing to have a way out. Nothing enjoyable about it at all!

ya - monday for you guys.

no adam is dead - his voice is just like the dead woman on Desperate Housewives - it's a voice over for dramatic sake to show what he was thinking since he's not here to tell us in person.

glad amber is gone - it's about flippen time -

sad about jana but i hope it doesn't dragon cause i'd bash my head in

I believe Adam is still alive and well. I think he found someone to swap DNA with him somehow-remember the guy in the restaurant with the little boy? I think Adam was looking for a DNA donor that he'd later kill and leave to fake his own death.

"If you had a stem cell transplant, would your DNA change? Karen

A fantastic question! It's not just stem cells you need to consider, but indeed any type of organ transplant or tissue donation. Another person, unless they are your identical twin, will have DNA different from your own. The reason lung transplants or bone marrow transplants actually work is because you are substituting dodgy tissue for healthy tissue. At the same time, you are replacing a gene that has gone wrong by putting in a healthy copy of the gene. That means the DNA in the tissue you've replaced will be different. The rest of your body won't change. If you do a bone marrow stem cell transplant for someone with leukaemia, the cells that you will have inside your bone marrow will come from your donor. Therefore, they will also be genetically identical to the donor. This means that a man who receives a bone marrow transplant from a lady will have bone marrow cells that have two X chromosomes. Sometimes people can even see a change in their blood group but not their DNA"

so even if Adam did give marrow or an organ to someone their DNA won't change - and if it does in the soap world the writers should be FIRED cause enough is enough with the making up crap that factually isn't correct.

•Emily is given a shot of adrenaline, she then confronts Patty and talks her out of harming herself. Patty is sent to jail, while Emily is sent to the hospital. Emily tells Jack they didn't know each other as well as they thought, she refuses to go home with him
•Olivia presents the option of using the stem cells from the twins to save Lily's life, she admits the babies could be affected by this but the risks are minimal. Still, Mac and Lily are against putting the twins at risk. Mac worries she may miscarry again while Lily says she will be devastated if she loses the twins
•Victoria and JT agree to be civil for Reed's sake but that all changes when Victoria throws a fit because Mac has a key to JT's apartment. Victoria thinks Mac is trying to replace her in Reed's life and refuses to let that happen. The custody battle is on!
Next - Tawny (Amber's mom) is in Genoa City, she meets Daniel and Phyllis wanting to see Amber and Eric, now; It looks like Tucker is asking JT to spy on Newman Enterprises; Nikki tells Victoria if she and JT are meant to be together, they will be

As I am sitting here watching Patty and Paul, something just struck me. Why haven't they said (or did I miss it) anything about their mom visiting Patty? She's still alive, you'd think she'd come visit her daughter sometime?:confused3 They could have mentioned she visited and not shown her.
