Okay, I bought the Xyron 250....then I got to thinking....this machine turns my little piece of whatever into a sticker....can't I just use glue instead of putting it through this machine? Am I missing something here? Just asking because I am thinking of taking it back....it was an impulse purchase. :confused3

The nice thing about the Xyron is for those small little pieces that it's difficult to put glue on - that's when the Xyron really comes in handy. I don't use mine all the time, I use it for the small items that I'm having a hard time getting other adhesives to adhere to. The best use I've gotten out of my larger one (can't remember which number it is but I also have the X) was for school projects for my daughter - during 7th grade and 8th grade she had to do many board displays and the Xyron was a godsend to get those letters stuck on the board easily!!!!

I just bought the 250 yesterday. I plan on using it for the teeny tiny extremely thin sizzlit letters. I plan on running a strip of paper thru first and then thru the sizzix sidekick. I purchased because it was the same price as the 510 refill I went in to purchase and the refills for the 250 are $10 cheaper. I was going to get the little X but I didn't think it was big enough to put funky brush through. Xyron machines are great for kids crafts. My kids love to make everything into a sticker and eliminates the gule mess with craft foam. And I love craft foam.
