Can you say " All over the map"

We have been to WDW for the past 7 years and have seen everything, from 80;s to upper 30's and everything in between.
Usually the mornings start with pants,short sleeve shirt and a sweat shirt. By mid day the sweat shirt is gone and temps in the sun are in the mid 70's. As soon as the sun goes in about 5 the temps starts to drop and you are back to the sweat shirt.

I have seen people in shorts and tank tops freezing at the same time people have on winter jackets and hats & gloves.



Best way to pack is layer and bring along your hat and gloves.

Even though we are having a heat wave here, I HATE winter and hope for temps in the 80's( one can wish, it is Disney)

We have been to WDW at exactly Christmas day only a few times. One time it was beautiful. Able to swim (and we lived in S FL at the time), beautiful weather. A few years later it was down to 28 degrees, the plants froze and it was so cold.

We always go in December (usually week 1 or week 2). We always pack for winter, spring, summer and fall. We bring gloves, hats, long underwear, sun screen and bathing suits, because you never know what to expect at that time of year.

DVC Guy, we posted at the same time! Sorry, didn't mean to be redundant, but at least we agree!

Be ready for anything!!! Number one item, sweatshirt or lined/fleece pullover. Been there in shortsleeves and short and been there when a sweatshirt and jacket weren't enough. Good luck!!!

In 2004 it was very pleasant and warm enough to swim on several occasions. In 2005 I nearly froze!!!!! Heed the advice given here, pack some of everything.

Dec 10 2005 - very nice and warm in the 70's
Dec 11 - colder and rainy
Dec 12 cold
dec 13 - froze at MVMCP and we are from MI!
Dec 14 - warmer in the 60's
Dec 15 - 17 Hot, in the low 80's!!!!!!

I'm from Northern Michigan, and my best advice is to bring winter coat, hat and gloves for the evening fireworks. I felt so stupid on the plane with my down coat, but on Christmas Day people were offering to buy it from me! For most of the last 5 years, Christmas Day was about 60 degrees with a wind that made it feel like it was about 30 degrees, but Christmas Eve was about 75 and sunny, and a wonderful pool day. On NYE it rained so hard that the water on the bridge to BW was about 3 inches deep, and so did my tennis shoes! I usually pack short sleeved shirts, jeans and crop pants, and bring sweatshirts. You really need twice the clothes you would ordinarily pack at any other time of year.

We went in 2005 and it was chilly in the AM and surprisingly cold at night!!!! AND WE CAME FROM BLIZZARD CONDITIONS!!!... and thought we'd be warm no matter how cool it was... Boy, were we wrong!!! But we had a great time anyway. Christmas time is so much fun at WDW and it's great to go once in awhile for the holiday. Have fun!!!

WoW! We've only visited in fall or summer! It will feel strange touring the parks without carrying fozen water bottles and wearing frozen bandanas around our necks!!!

Now I know why the lines are longer at XMAS time...They can only fit ONE down-wearing guest per car on each attraction!!!

Now I know why the lines are longer at XMAS time...They can only fit ONE down-wearing guest per car on each attraction!!!

This is very funny!! Thanks for asking this question. We were wondering what the weather would be like. We were in the Dis store last week and they had sweet little princess mittens on sale. I was going to buy some, but DH said" it won't be THAT cold" I guess I should have bought them!! We have always gone in Nov and some morns and pm's have been chilly but not mitten weather. Guess we'll need that hot choc at MVMCP!!!!

My family and I always go to WDW around Christmas each year. We also dress in layers...shorts/t-shirt then sweat pants/shirt then light jacket. For us, a heavy jacket would just make us sweat too much and just make us colder.

We love Christmas at Disney and wouldn't miss if for anything!

Like everybody says -- be prepared for everything! Fleece jackets are wonderful since they're lightweight and not bulky like a down jacket. Don't forget the rain! We've had 90's on Christmas and 30's so there really is no way to judge. I also carry those handwarmer packets since one year it was so cold and sitting for the CP was not pleasant. Layers are the way to go. We really rely on our jeans during our Christmas trip and just take a pair of shorts -- just in case. Always a swimsuit though - it is FL!
