well can you believe it i am talking matt around to going back for the xmas season, now he says he will think about it, but he will only stay in the dlp hotel and for 2 nights, now hoping i get the right flights/times etc we can make it full 3 days and i think that will be plenty, now the disney site won;t let me get prices for this, what is the best time to go, i want to see the xmas lights/parades, adn my b'day is 29th nov so i am hoping we can incorprate that as well. any help as to who to book with.

We are considering Christmas or Halloween - but not until 2007:( I will be interested to see the answers you get. I don't think the prices for that season come out until late June/July.

Has anyone been on Christmas day?

Hi.. You should be able to book in June. We went to the Christmas season last year and found it VERY busy and very cold. we went Christmas week. I think the Christmas season starts early November after bonfire night so of you went in November it would be less busy so less waiting and more time to get every thing done in 3 days.

I think the mayor crowds started to arrive for Christmas while we were there.

If you book the package with Disney we find that they tend to use a morning outbound flight and an Inbound flight around 9pm. so you will get about 2.5 days.
we find with other tour operators that they charge a high subliment for flights at these times so have always found Disney the best to book with.

i have looked at flights only and they are working out at 80.00 each returndep 9.15 and then on way back at 18.15, which are the exactsame aswejust had

Going on your criteria i would say the Official Travel Company would be best.
We went for new year a few years ago, and it was about £500 ish each for the Cheyenne.
Personallyi find them very disorganised (even tho the airport shuttle bus is included in the price there are no reps or anything to help you or whatever, you just have to queue like schmuck) and also our flight home was "full" (go figure!!) so we were bumped back a few hours (we did get compensation which covered our spends tho, which helped)

Personally we always travel with a coach company called Leger, who are incredibly good at Disney trips (just today we managed to get on a trip for 10th April after pushing and pushing when they had originally said it was full - very good customer service!!) but dont do New York or Disneyland, so thats out for you im afraid.

Good luck finding a decent trip and have fun when you do!!

Jane,
Let us know how you get on, I'm considering a similar trip but hoping to combine it with the Bonfire celebrations. DLRP direct is looking the best so far for hotels & tickets, but can't get a price from BMI Baby who fly from our local airport or Eurostar yet for the dates I want. Leger by Eurostar works out at almost £1,000 for 2 nights at the NPB 9/11/06, I'm going to wait and see if DLRP come out with any offers - at the moment they have an extra night free for arrivals 5th and 7th Nov. :)
Jill.

We went in mid November. Had the advantage of start of Christmas season without the bitter winter weather :)

We went 20th - 25th Nov 2005 (Mon to Fri). The crowds were very low & the weather was very cold - not unlike the weather there now (I was there last week too). It was my best disney holiday - extra shows, great decorations, no queues. It's great that your husband has agreed to go again - mine is disneyed out at this stage!

If you go during the first 2 weeks of december avoid the weekends as it is sooo busy.
