Xmas - are we crazy?

I agree you are crazy, but so are we. We are in a similar situation, my sis is a teacher, her husband gets that week off every year, my husband also has a weeks vacation at Christmas and the kids are off from school, so we will be at WDW this Christmas. Am I scared? Yes, but I know we will just take it all in and have already warned the kids of long waits and so on. Have fun and good luck with your decision.

Long underwear at 40-50 degrees? Come to Chicago sometime. My kids wear short sleeves in that weather......but I think they're future members of the Polar Bear Club.

We're going to be there December 14-23, so we're hoping that the first part of the trip won't be so bad. We do plan to bring warm clothes (if nothing else to ensure it is warm, like bringing an umbrella to ensure it won't rain) :teeth:

I do think it depends on where you're from. We're from Houston, TX, and it doesn't get really cold here. :sunny: If it's below 60 here, people break out the heavy coats, sweaters, etc. I think the wind-chill was also in the upper 20's that day, so it really was pretty chilly, especially when you're outside for most of the day. We'll also be prepared, and will hope for more moderate weather!

I'll also add that most if not all of the shows and special events that occur earlier in Dec. for MVMCP at an extra charge are available as part of you regular park admission during XMAS week. OK, hot chocolate and cookies aren't included, but you can just buy that on your own and save the cost of the separate admission!
