Has anyone had any experience with the in home radio? We have it in our car and love it but were wondering what type of radio anyone purchased for in home use and what they thought of it.

I'm also interested in what they charge you per month. I HATE dealing with Sirius/XM. They send a bill for several hundred dollars for the year. Every year it's the same. You call them and tell them you want to cancel and magically the bill comes down. Last year my initial bill was over $200 and after calling them I am paying $4/month for 6 months.

Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated. Also does anyone have 2 internet online subscriptions? I want to keep ours at home but have another for my husband to use at work. I was told this can't be done without having two vehicles signed up (we only have Sirius in 1 car).

My husband has had Sirius radio in his car for years. I just purchased a new car which came with a trial subscription. I found out that my husband was paying less for his Sirius service than what they wanted to charge for our new car! It seems to me that he is paying $194 per year. And they wanted to charge me for internet radio, while his was free! So I'm going to let my trial run out, since I'm not in the car that much.

In the meantime, I am using his free internet radio at work, and I really love it. But we don't have two online subscriptions.

We had purchased an XM boom box that worked in the home. Our satellite radio was purchased after the vehicle, so we could use it both in home and in the car. I still have it, but don't use it too much. When the weather gets bad, you don't get good reception. I do love some of the channels, though.

I use my Stilleto in the house but I purchased an antenna I mounted outside because the signal you get inside from the provided antenna is really weak. The stilleto is portable so supposed to work anywhere but doesn't work very good as aportable unit anywhere I've used it. The antenna I bought was around $30. I love my Sirius and my NFL/Howard Stern but I will say once Stern leaves I'll go back to free radio. I think if you keep cancelling you will always get the $25 for 5 months deal.

I have a Sirius Starmate 4 connected into my stereo with the small docking station. The antenna is on the top of my chimney. Reception is great and it is small. It also fits in a car docking station.

We have it and I never thought I would love it so much but I really really do..:thumbsup2
