I just let my XM expire in my new car a couple of months ago. After a couple of weeks they called and invited me to renew at full price. I said I wasn't interested, so they pulled out $4.99 a month for 6 months. They acted like it was a big, exclusive, deal - and I was very lucky to "qualify" for it. I also had to acknowledge that this was a one time offer, and not renewable. I paid over the phone, and opted NOT to keep a credit card on file for autorenew at the full rate.
Yep... That's the surest way to get an XM deal.
I couldn't live without my XM.
People say "how can you pay for radio....it's free!"
I say "if you're listening to commercials, you're paying... Just in a different way. I'd rather pay to not have to listen to the inane blather of ads."
I did the 5 for $20 then the $77 for a year and then just called when I got the bill for the next year and said I'll cancel unless you have the same deal...got it....
they also offer $2.99 mo for xm internet....I need to get that. keep forgetting.
