First I would like to say I love it!

I have a question, does anyone know if they have a channel that plays seasonal music? Like for Halloween, or at Christmas? Thanks!

During the Christmas season, they have a few Holiday channels. I got my XM radio last December, so I don't know if they do anything for Halloween. The other day on Cinemagic, they were playing the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack.

If I remember right, they had at least 3 Christmas channels last year--one was regular seasonal music, one was more off-kilter type songs (barking dogs, adam sandler, etc.) and one was classical. These replaced regular channels--one was on the "sunny " channel, I believe.

They do Christmas channels each year for several weeks. Usually traditional, pop and novelty channels. Last year they had a country one too. Also, in the few days before Christmas, some of the other channels start to switch over to Christmas themes - the 40's channel does a lot of Christmas stuff, as do some of the non-music channels (the old time radio station pulls out a lot of Christmas episodes for example.)

I don't remember any other seasons getting special channels. But, again, for Halloween night itself some of the stations will probably do special themes. Just check www.xmradio.com a week or so before.

Is anyone else annoyed by how they name the channels? Most of the time, you can't even tell from the name what type of music it is. It drives me nuts.

I think it's Heart that becomes Holly from about December 5th until Christmas day.

No 'sounds of the season' like Music Choice on Direct TV.
