I was at a Brazillian restaurant in NYC this past weekend and had this beer for the first time. It was fantastic! It's a dark larger, but tastes nothing like most dark largers, it was almost sweet. Anyone else tried it before?

An opaque, full-bodied black lager with mild bitterness. Extravagant treacle and anise aromas. Rich and creamy, well balanced sweet notes and hints of tartness with exceptional mouthfeel, in two words: Black Silk

Monkeyboy, I was wondering if you were some sort of beer reviewer until I realized you got it off of their website... :rotfl:

:teeth: But yes I have had it and it's pretty good

I've had Xingu before at the Brickskeller in DC. They have quite a large beer menu there.

I've had it a few times. The first time was at a bar with a large beer selection. The waiter 1/2 Brazillian, 1/2 Turk told me not to try it, that it was terrible. Of course I had to try it after that. Being a homebrewer, he peaked my curiosity. I thought it was rather good and would recommend it to anyone.
