Hooray! Our excursion packet for the 9/28 arrived today!

We are having quite the debate in our house. The kids reallly want to see the dolphins. I really want to see Mayan ruins--- but I realize Tulum is out (we have a 7yo, 4yo, 2 yo, 1yo).

So, we are debating...

Xcaret? The plus being all the very wonderful things to do, most especially their ruins, and their "living history" Mayan village. The minus being it will be too short, especially with all the travel time involved.

Chakanaab? The plus being close by to the ship so we can do it our selves (significant $$ savings), the ability to still do some shopping, a beach (I think), dolphins, and Mayan ruin replicas. . . The minus being that it doesn't sound nearly as close to Xcaret.

Thanks in advance for the advice. I can't wait to go!!:Pinkbounc

with that many kids in tow, I think you would be better off to do Chanakaab on your own. I would not recommend that you try to xcaret on your own. I think you will save lots of money for your group to stay closer to Chanakaab.
