XBOX360 updates anyone?

Last night my son was watching Netflix movies on the Xbox thanks to the upgrade. He says they are FREE- because we are gold members. I said I doubt that but I would check. So now the website is down. Does anyone know if this was part of the recent updates(the wii rip off guys)
