Xbox one didnt preorder

Does anybody know what the supply and demand will be like? I didn't preorder one. Looking to get one for DS for christmas.

I'm guessing sold out until after Christmas with astronomical prices on ebay.

Best advice is just keep checking and asking, you may get lucky, I got lucky and got both a PS3 and Wii when they were released and sold out everywhere just by being in the right place at the right time. The PS3 at BestBuy when I was in line and a lady was returning the one she bought and the Wii at Target when I happened to be there when they brought out a pallet, which was gone in a matter of minutes.

We preordered 2 directly from Microsoft about a month or so ago. You may want to try them, Walmart, ebgames,...try calling first and see if they have any preorders avail then when to be there for lineup on the 21/22 or deliveries.

amazon had ps4 available at midnight eastern time may have the same for the xbox worth a try easier than trying to make it to the store

I'm in the boat with you, OP. DS12 wants a PS4, and we didn't know it until time to pre-order.

You should be able to fine one on launch date, if you are able to get to a store early enough or even the next morning.

As a PP said, Amazon had the PS4 in stock just after midnight today and had them in stock for a few hours, so you might get lucky next Friday with them. I was in Walmart before work today and they had 2 PS4s in stock still. They are only selling for $100ish over cost on eBay (which is way down from the PS3/360 launch prices).

Both Sony and Microsoft have learned from past launches they need to meet a bigger demand. Both systems should be easily found for gifts this year.

From what I understand Sam's Club does not dp pre-orders so they should have some available.
Amazon and a few other retailers (online) had the PS4 available, but probably briefly. I think I read on a thread here that someone was able to find one at their Target store. Hopefully you'll have the same options for the XB1.

That's what I'm hoping because I can see for the preorders you get some extra stuff. I don't think we care to much about the extras at this point. So maybe once the preorders are gone the regular once will be out like the ps4

We had pre-ordered our PS4 when it became available and glad we did because most everywhere is sold out now - with any console release you can usually expect the same.

I would search high and low for somewhere still taking pre orders if able - then if not check Gamestop stores - any pre orders not picked up/paid in full in 48 hours are fair game.

They are pretty much sold out for many merchants. So, if you see one, grab it! They won't get discounted for the holidays. Sometimes they do special bundles, but I am not even sure we will see those this holiday season besides the preorder specials.

I signed up with a sight called nowinstock to get alerts when they are in stock. I got one the other day and was able to pre-order from Gamestop. They update all day long from various sites.

It took me 13 minutes and about 100 times of clicking to add to cart and they getting an empty cart, error/ no available message. I was about to give up but figured I would keep trying until there was no price left next to it. I'm so glad I don't have to go wait in line Friday morning to get one. DH is going to be so happy x-mas morning

WOO HOO! Got my Day One Edition! My sister and I were both online ordering for my son and both ended up getting one. Now I gotta figure out what to do with the second one.

I, too, just about gave up. What a frustrating system Amazon has on days like today! Item not available, not going into cart. Took me about 100 tries but finally got it. GOOD LUCK to everyone who is still trying.

Ok still didn't get one. I refresh was able to click the pre order button.

I had one in my cart but got a system message saying their was a problem on Amazons site.

I don't always trust Amazon. Couple of years ago DS wanted an AT-AT star wars toy. It finally became available. I bought it and it never came on the "shipping" date. Finally got a message from Amazon saying the item was not available.

I talked to someone at Toys r us. They said they will be getting shipments but didn't know how much or when. Just that it's not going to be a lot.

Thank you all for helping. I may head to Sams club Friday morning since they don't take preorders.
