XBox 360 Who is trying to get one?

Yeah,My nephew pre-ordered his and is going to pick it up at Midnight tonight.He can't wait.He told me he probably won't bother to go to bed.Just stay up so he can get it hooked up and play a game or two! Wow,must be nice to be young!

I've already heard that people are lining up at Walmart - don't know where though!!!

I told DS(9) that Santa couldn't get the XBOX 360 this year because there is NOT enough to go around (whew.........got out of that one, LOL!!!) and that he would get one for his birthday in March.

Someone on the budget board has one already, don't know how, but they are saying the old XBOX games do not play on the core XBOX 360 system, that you have to buy the more expensive $399.00 XBOX 360 - interesting because I would of bought only the core system since we don't play online.

On second thought, I think I'll wait for the Playstation 3 also!!

I pre-ordered mine 6 months ago from EB Games and will pick it up tomorrow. To answer a question...The core system does not include a hard drive which is required to play "old" xbox games. The premium system also includes a wireless controller, ethernet cable, component cables, and a headset.

DH and I won ours from a Mt. Dew contest and we received it this past Sat morning. It is awesome!

I just called walmart and they are giving out tickets at 9 pm then at 12 they will draw # to see who gets to buy one..

I got mine on Friday from my mother who works for a software developer that works very closely with Microsoft I got it for 275.00 CDN anyone need one? I was also given a PSP as Sony gave them to the company and my mother doesn't play video games so she gave it to me. Our X BOX is the deluxe system with all the goodies it came with a LIVE silver subscription paid and 4 free months of the gold subscription.

I'm kinda torn with the x360. I'm not totally sure that I want one bad enough to pay THAT much for it. let alone stand in line. I'm happy with my xbox now. and I REALLY want a ps3...

I am not to sure yet I haven't even opened it as my wife is against us having it as we have a couple younger kids and there aren't really any age appropriate games for them to play on it so if worst comes to worst I will be getting rid of it. Not to sure for how much though.

Over here in UK we have pre-ordered ours for Christmas. The store phoned today to say we would get it on or before 16th December which is fine with us.

Our PSPs came out later over here (in September) and we picked one up in Orlando in May so DH had one before everyone else and exchange rate was very good back then!

Well, I went and checked things out for my DH. Super Walmart that was selling at Midnight had a line of 40 people at 5:00p!!!

Then on the way home, I check my local Walmart that will sell them at 7:00a and they had a sign that they only had 4 premium and 10 core.

Then also on the way home I stop to get gas at BJs and they had 5 I could see through the lock they keep them in. The customer service lady said they'll sell them at 9:00a when they open.

It's going to be tough to get them unless your a young determined teen who is willing to wait in a long line for 7 or more hours!!!

DH should have pre-ordered back in August!

Well our Walmart is open 24 hours - so DS got there right after school - 3:00 p.m. so he could be in line to pick his up at 12:01. He and his friend walked into the layaway department and DS just grabbed a chair and sat down. There was one other lady sitting and waiting. Well guess what - there are only 2 premium systems available. So DS friend who also wanted one is now out of luck since DS was the first to sit down. I went down at 5:30 and took him a pop and some chicken from the deli. He can't leave layaway - good thing there is a bathroom there. The lady that is in line before him has been there since noon. The next closest Walmart is in a bigger town and they've had a line there since midnight - last night

I have never been an X-Box fan, so I have absolutely no desire to get a 360.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I've always been a Nintendo fan, and I can't wait for the Revolution next year. If that controller (remote control?) with its motion capabilities lives up to its promise, it should be quite an interesting console.

As for X-Box 360, it stinks that stores seem to be getting so few of the deluxe systems. IMO, if you want a 360 Deluxe is the only way to go. It may be $100 more, but its totally worth it for the hard drive ($60-ish dollars alone) and other goodies. Honestly, the core system isn't a very good deal.

Our local Walmart only had 2 premium systems and 6 core systems. There was absolutely no one in line for the core systems.

DH is in line right now at Super Kmart. He went to Wal-mart first, but they were already lined up and only had 30. Super K is doing a raffle, and I *really* hope he gets one. Otherwise, he's gonna camp out at Best Buy or Target to get one.

My husband had preorder his and up at blockbuster to pick it up at 12:01 right now. He went to pick up games today and they where behind the counter already. He is number 4 on the list so he will be getting his. The where suppose to recieve 10 but where only sent 6.

We went by Wal-Mart tonight and there are 50 or so people in line. I hope that they have enough XBox's. We saw about 25 people sitting outside Best Buy and 10 or so outside Circuit City. It's craziness I tell you.

I'm waiting for the PS3 too and I'll probably wind up waiting in a similar line.

I was at Walmart from 10:30 pm till 1:30 am yup just fresh from the Walmart folks !

NOTHING NADA for me they ran out about 10 people before me and to tell you the truth I dont think I could have taken it if I was the 1st person in line after they ran out . I shall stay up so I can travel to Target at 5 am and try for one there : )
