XBOX 360 game ideas

So we broke down and purcashed an xbox 360 with kinect for kids (8 & 12). We have been playing Kinect adventures this evening (as we just set-up the system). I have purchased kinectimals for my DD8 and MW2 for DSD12 (he plays this game at his moms).

Anyhow, would love to hear ideas on other games.

Guitar hero type games are always popular. Being an adult I play older games with violence so I don't know where you stand on that but fallout,mass effect 1 and 2, batman, bioshock 1 and 2 are games I (as a long time female gamer) really liked but there is a lot of adult Theaming in these games.

For the lighter side viva piñata, kingdom and world for keflings (downloadable games), sega has a collection of lots of old school games (sonic Ect) for 20 bucks or less. My husband and I and my brothers kids love the LEGO games these include star wars, Harry potter, Indiana jones, and most recently pirates of the carribean. They are great single or multiplayer and are very funny and the older ones are pretty cheap and they are all good.

Hope that helped at let a little. I'd start with the Lego games and go from there.

It's not out yet. However you MUST check out the Disneyland game coming out in December!! It just looks so wonderful!
Makes me want a Kinect. And rumor has it that they're making games in the same series for DisneyWorld, Hollywood Studios and Epcot!!!

The 'Lego' series of games are a big hit in our household. Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is, by far, the best one they've made yet.

I second the suggestion of the Lego titles. They are all great and two people can play together. Unlike many games, the two player mode is cooperative rather than competitive and is really fun. I also love the Rock Band and Guitar Hero games. If you want to be sure to get family friendly lyrics in the songs, I recommend Lego Rock Band.

I second the Lego game suggestion. I've been working on Harry Potter lately and it's a blast. The first Lego Star Wars is my favorite.

Lego Harry Potter is fantastic. Any of the Lego games are good, but Pirates and Harry Potter they have really done some good work on. Fun for kids of all ages.

Fully agree with the Lego games. My kids love them. Also, sports games are relatively innocuous.
Also, if you have an xbox live account, you can watch netflix and zune movies. What we do is purchase xbox live points and for movie night we 'spend' them on a movie from the zune marketplace since their selection is current.
