We are going to be going in early December (2005) for our first Christmas trip. I can't decide where to stay- WL or YC. Which one do you think would be the best "Christmas" resort. On the one hand I love WL theming but I love the convenience of the YC. It will just be my husband and I so we won't be doing anything too commando (just ALL the Christmas stuff I have been jealously reading about ) We haven't stayed at either one so your help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dana

For theming I would say WL, especially since your from Arizona. I'll probably never stay there because in the middle of nowhere, PA I can look out my window and see the same view.

Last December we went and stayed at the AS, it didn't feel Christmasy. We went to the Poly for dinner and it was the same way. I think you need evergreen trees to make it feel Christmasy.

Christmas just felt "wierd" last year without the decor and cold temps. But it was a fun experience.

Hey, just saw you're from PA. My husband is from Duncansville... and we were just there over spring break. I know what you mean about green- we haven't quite gotten used to the Arizona Christmas.
Thanks,
Dana

Our two favorite resorts-what a dilemma! I'd have to split my stay, but we stayed at the WL over Thanksgiving-Definitely Christmas!

I am a HUGE Yacht club fan but....... For x-mas I would go with Wl!! It is so pretty and its usually too cold for the pool so why pay more for Yacht that time of year!! :)

I love the Wilderness Lodge and have stayed there 3 times during the holiday season. The decorations are wonderful and so is the atmosphere. However, I think if you will be spending more time over in the EPCOT area, then I would stay at the Yacht Club. The YC, Beach Club & Boardwalk are all beautifully decorated for the holidays. You also have a quick walk to EPCOT and a boat to MGM.

- yep, I'm in PA. Used to be Philly(until 2 years ago), now Central PA, right near State College. White Christmas? Last year we also had a white Thanksgiving and a white Halloween. Culture shock for me. (Urban heat island of Philly melts snow.)

Have a fun trip. ( I still vote WL.)
