I have a theory about why bands do so badly in these shows. It's all about the back story and it's so hard to get to "know" the individual personalities in bands, especially in the early rounds. JLS are great and really professional, but I'll be surprised if they win. The two girl bands merged into one, so it was inevitable they'd be in a sing-off in the bottom two. (As an aside, I think it's a great idea that they get to pick their own songs.)

Daniel shouldn't even have made it through to the final twelve. If it wasn't for the sob story, he wouldn't be there - the black girl in Dannii's final 6 was so much better. The sob story will keep him in for a few more weeks, maybe, but he's the weakest of the bunch - a pub singer and then some.

Simon shouldn't have picked Scott for his final three. He had a guy who looked and sounded like a pop star (can't remember his name). Scott will always be a Blue Coat and, no matter what song he gets (and I did think he made a good fist of a bad choice this week) his days are numbered.

Someone has to go out each week and, on the whole, it doesn't matter who it is because quality will out. Shane Ward and Leona Lewis were standout class acts. Leon, not so much. I couldn't stand him from the off last year and I don't understand why he won. Grubby little boy. And, judging by his performance on last night's show, he hasn't improved any. STOP FIDGETING!

I don't think I've ever spotted a winner from the very first auditions, but I had Alexandra down as world class from the off. I think she could win. Like Leona, she looks and performs like a pro - she's head and shoulders above everyone else. Laura surprised me. Up until now, I thought she was good, but just an Amy Winehouse imitator. Last night, she was incredible. It'll be interesting to see how she performs in the coming weeks.

Glad that Bad Lashes went - they were so weird looking - whoever styled them last night deserves the sack!

On the whole I look forward to seeing how they all improve thanks to professional styling, but what on earth did they do to these girls? They were all really pretty at the auditions, but they'd been turned into a complete mess (and especially the blond girl with the fringe who took the lead in Wonderwall ).

I also thought Rachel looked so wrong. At her first audtion (with her heavy fringe and bandana), she looked funky and edgy and her look really suited her. Last night she looked like a second rate Gabrielle. I was pleased they didn't mess with Diana's look.

That suit was horrific ! it made her look very frumpy !

DH was yelling at the TV "Stop bouncing up and down!!" I could never stand Leon to be honest, I don't know how on Earth he won the show, he hasn't produced any decent stuff since and seems to be a poor mans Michael Buble now.

Completley agreee with you with your first paragraph .I also like JLS but don't think they will win either.

As for Leon,that's exactly what me+hubby said-he has to constantly fidget-it's like someones put itching powder down his underwear.x.

Last night she looked like a second rate Gabrielle.

As soon as you could see Rachel i immediatley thought she looked like a bad version of Gabrielle-all she needed was the eye-patch.x.

I didn't like Leon last year - don't know how he won.

He hasn't improved at all and I don't get why they have taken a year to write and record his album? I fully get why they did it with Leona but Leon is know where near as talented.....I thought they should have got an album out quickly before everyone forgot who he was.

Seriously though, I don't think I can enjoy the programme until Rachel is out, as her behaviour annoys me so much. I get the impression that Dermot isn't her biggest fan either!! Do you think she'll sing "Bad" during the Michael Jackson show?

That is exactly how I feel about her, TBH I thought that they may have not put her through to the live shows due to her unpredictable outbursts, can you imagine if she gets a bad comment and starts to have a go at which ever judge said it? I just don't think that she should be in the show, as there were other far more deserving people that could have gone through but that's just my opinion.
