Wyndham Shuttle Charges?

Pretty sure I've got this in the right spot now... pulled a Goofy and posted this first in the reviews section.

I keep hearing/reading online about all these fluxing new shuttle charges being imposed on people staying at Wyndham. Is this true?

My grandfather has a timeshare with them, and we're using that for our upcoming return trip to Disney in May. Our budget is definitely tight- not so much that we couldn't pay the shuttle within reason -but really, should we be paying at all? The room and tickets for the parks already cost an arm and a leg and possibly a kidney too...

If you use their shuttle system then yes, the fee is $5.00 per person per round trip, reguardless of ownership, with kids under 3 y/o being free. If you don't use the shuttle you won't be charged. However, if you are driving then you have to pay the parking fee to get into the lots. I think it's $14.00/day. Originally the BC parking fee was going to be $12.00 per day per unit, regardless if you used the shuttle or not or how many people were in the room, so a solo traveler in a one bedroom driving to the parks and not even using the shuttles would have had to pay the same fee as twelve people in a four bedroom that did use the shuttle. That was not fair, so the Homeowner's Association changed it to $5.00 per person per round trip and the only ones that have to pay are the ones that actually use the shuttle. Much more fair!
