We could be trading into wyndam palms, I have no information on it, I need to know the good and the bad.

We stayed there in 2003 (just 3 nights) pre and post cruise.

We thought our condo was very nice. 2 bedrooms with a jacuzzi tub in the master. The 2nd bedroom had 2 double beds. It was well appointed with a golf course view. The living room has a leather sofa and love seat with a large screen TV. There was also a large glass top dining table. It was very spacious and would be comfortable for an extended stay. The only drawback to us was that it wasn't our "style." Absolutely nothing wrong with the place though. If we hadn't bought into DVC, we would definitely have considered staying there again.

We didn't use any of the amenities. We were across the parking lot from one of the "small" pools and it looked nice.

After weeks of planning and checking out as much as we could, we traded our week through II for a week at Wyndham Palms. Do a search on this thread and you'll find lots of happy vacationers that went there...........We'll be there in April, so hope they were right!! :rotfl:

DH and I are owners there of a 2-br unit...the resort is very nice, very clean, 18-hole golf course, restaurant, on-site Pizza Hut express, kids programs. They offer free mini-golf, bike riding, ping-pong, tennis and basketball. They just finished a 3rd pool with waterslide...unfortunately it hadn't opened yet when we were there in October but we'll be there in May and I'm looking forward to DD12 and DN10 being able to use it (it's next to our building). The units are very nice...big screen tv's (52"), washer/dryer, full kitchen, master bedroom w/ whirlpool bath. It's also nice watching the hot-air balloons off in the distance from our balcony early in the morning. The buildings are pretty spread out and if you decide to exchange there and expect to spend a lot of time at the pool I would request a building close to one of the pools. One of the pools is a zero entry pool.

We've stayed there several times, and all of the units had washers and dryers. We've enjoyed all of our stays there. The units are roomy, and well appointed. The master bath is to die for. It's huge, with separate his-and-hers counter space, a two person jacuzzi, and walk-in shower. And we've always enjoyed the private screened porches there, too.

And you can't beat the location if you're going to Disney. Depending on the time of day, it's a 7-10 minute EASY drive.

We were there last week in a 3 bedroom (2 bedroom unit and 1 bedroom unit joined) and they both had washers and dryers. Totally agree about the location---easy and quick drive to the parks.
The only "complaint" I had was that several of the pools weren't open yet. We stayed in building 28 and though there was a beautiful new pool near our unit, it wasn't ready yet. There are pools there, just not close enough to some units to walk to. It's not fun loading the two wet kids back into the car after swimming (wet car seats are gross)!!! I believe there is a shuttle service to the pools, but we didn't want to have to wait for them.
Other than that, wonderful resort and we'll be back......................

FYI---I noticed in the one bedroom side it didn't have the huge bathroom the previous posted talked about. The two bedroom unit had the huge bathroom in the master bedroom. The one bedroom unit has a standard size bathroom, but still has a jacuzzi tub, it's in the bedroom though.

We loved it there, only minor complaint was that at the main pool it was so busy. It was so busy that people were swimming into you, not any personal space in the pool at all. We did love the miniture golf and tennis. My son made friends and played basketball which he loved. The condo itself was very large and very beautiful. Check in was a bit annoying, we had to wait until someone could show us our unit. We were tired from travel and didn't feel like being chit chatty we wanted to just check in and be left alone. When we check in at Disney nobody escourts us to our room. I guess they knew that we had traded it from another timeshare and they were hoping to sell us one of theirs because they kept telling us we HAD to set up a maintance check (aka-timeshare speil). We just set one up to get them off our backs and out of unit but then cancelled it. They tried telling us again it was mandatory until my husband put his foot down and told him he would call II and ask them why it wasn't disclosed on the papers we received. They back off, but boy what an effort it took.

Since we are balloon nuts, we always enjoy this. We especially seem to see them on checkout day. That was the only day we saw them from Wyndham Palms, I think, but we've also seen them from the Embassy Grand Beach and every time we've ever stayed at Summer Bay.
