Wyndham Palms Resort and Country Club

I wonder if I would get anything if I joined the Wyndhams by request. Any thoughts on that?
I think you will still receive the snacks and beverages whether or not you sign up for Wyndham by Request. Both my sister and my mom had reservations during our trip. Both joind Wyndham by Request. Mom did the timeshare, but my sister didn't. Mom was told that she would not receive the member benefits because she was doing the timeshare. However, both received a paper and the welcome snacks and beverages. My sister received most of the ones that she had requested, and my mom received popcorn and a 2 liter of Pepsi. Both were also allowed to check in early and check out late. Membership is free, so it wouldn't hurt for you to join and see what you can get. I think others have done the timeshare and received full member benefits.

From what I am reading there are alot of buildings, does this mean you are far from the eating area where breakfast is?
Yes, there are a lot of buildings. The condos that are closer to the front of the resort are farthest away from the breakfast area. The breakfast area appeared to be closer to the back of the resort.

Are there restaurants there?
Yes, there are several.

How did the timeshare talk go for your mom? We are going in October at the timeshare rate and my sister is going at the regular hotelkingdom rate. Did they give your mom a hard time about other family staying at the resort, since their literature says no other family should be staying if you get the timeshare rate? Did she just keep this a secret or was it o.k. to have family as long as they did not go on the timeshare talk?

Also, was the pool horribly far away?

Was the entrance close to being completed?

Thanks

Mom said the presentation wasn't high pressure at all. My parents have been on many timeshare presentations across the US, and they said this is one of the most expensive pieces of property that they've ever looked at but one of the least high-pressure sales presentations they've ever attended. The presentation also comes with a meal.

She had called and asked about this before booking, and they said it wasn't a problem. At check-in we even asked them to put our 2 rooms as close together as possible, and they did. There were 6 of us (all adults) that stayed in the 2 br condo. When they went one the tour they actually told her that we could have stayed in a 3 br. instead.

We stayed in the very front of the resort, and there was a pool directly across from us. The pool where the breakfast was served was near the back of the resort.

As far as I could tell, the entrance was complete. There was some construction going on towards the back of the resort. If I remember correctly, someone posted that those that are doing the timeshare are put in the front of the resort.

Enjoy your stay. The resort is beautiful!
