hi there,
i know this has been asked before as i've looked through previous topics already, but i just can't make my mind up.

there is a group of 12-14 adults with 2 children going to orlando in august(ish) we stayed last year at the holiday inn international on i-drive not in the tower but in one of the 2 floor buildings round the pool, we were allocated to the tower but we didn't want to stay in a high rise building,
we found the holiday inn very clean although basic, the staff were very nice and the scheduled transport to the parks was very good also, it was my first time abroad and i found it the best experience ever, i tried all the parks and they were amazing,
so for this reason were booking again but wish to try a different hotel as some of the people going have been to the holiday inn 4 times previous and fancy a change,
after much searching we fancy the Wyndham Orlando Resort (i-drive) as it looks very nice on the pictures and is in a more quiet area of i-drive.
if anyone has any negative or positive feedback on the hotel i'd be happy to listen and also if there are any good alternatives preferably no towers , thanks.....baz

Hi,
We were at the Wyndham in 2oo2 and we really liked it. The room was quite big, two queen size beds, bunk beds, two t.vs, coffee maker, iron and a fridge . It was clean and housekeeping left a chocolate on each bed every day, which the children liked! Although on the busy road of I-drive it is really peaceful at the pool area etc. The pools were a good size and heated, the grounds were big and well kept.
If you want to know anything else just ask.

I won this place on a Priceline bid of $35 and stayed there for 1 night. Before heading down I questioned this resort here on DIS and received MANY neg. reports on this place saying it was worn, dirty, musty, etc. I wasn't expecting much when I got there, but found it better than reported. It was a little worn looking and there was a slight musty odor, but it was quiet and clean. I wouldn't pay full price for it, but would do it again through Priceline. Ask for a building in the middle of the resort - some are located right by I-Dive and are noisy, but the back ones are way far away from everything. I think the building I was in was either #6 or #8.

Hope this helps!!! :teeth:

four nights in 2002...and loved it

We had a jr suite, king bed, and separate room, well, area with bunk beds and tv for the kids.

The resort is quite large, pool area is really nice, and the I-Ride Trolley stops right there as well. And we met lots of people from the UK:)

The big MacDonald's is across the intersection, there's a Denny's. Golden Corral etc etc all within walking distance, as well as a Walgreen's Pharmacy across the street...

HTH!!
