Wyndham I Drive / Priceline

I use priceline anytime I need a hotel, car, plane etc. and normaly I am very happy with our rooms.
I placed my bid this time and I used the Universal zone, I normal use the Disney zone. I was given Wyndham on I Drive ......

I have read a couple revuwes and it does not sound so good, I was wondering if anyone on the DIS has stayed there and might have some input . Thanks.

Haven't stayed there, but I have stayed at Wyndham hotels and they are usually very nice. I checked it out on their website. you can see pictures of the place and here is what their site says about it:

In a nutshell, it was okay, but I was not overly impressed. The rooms were good, but the grounds were not what I expected. Also it is pretty far from Disney, if that is why you're going to Orlando. But there are a lot of places to eat and things to do nearby.

I've stayed there 3 or 4 times. It's a nice hotel. I've never had a problem there. We just stayed there in July. The rooms have always been clean. We always get it for 30-40 dollars with Priceline. You cant beat that price.

Tha did help a great deal, hubby and son are going to Universal for the halloween night thing, so being close to that is important considering they will be coming back very very late. Thanks a bunch.

Hmmm, on the first page of reviews there are several that say "great" and several that say "awful". Looks like it's hit or miss. I'm surprised, I would expect the Wyndham to be a nice hotel. I just stayed in downtown Chicago and it was a great hotel.
