Last year we stayed at Windsor Hills, which we loved for it's convenience and easygoing stay - no hustle bustle just a laid back stay. This year, we are contemplating Wyndham Bonnet Creek (in April), renting through VRBO. From what I read, you get pretty much any room when you check in, not the specific one in the VRBO listing? Any reviews or comparisons on WBC vs Windsor Hills? I am leaning toward Windsor Hills and DH likes the idea of being in the gates and at a more resort-type place.

Thanks!

Windsor Hills and WBC are totally different. To me WH is more "residential" where WBC is more resort if that makes sense. Both are quick drives to the parks. We like WBC more because it offers a lot more in the way of restaurants, pool bars and activities than WH

For WBC there are two different styles: presidential and deluxe and the rooms are the same within those styles. When you rent from VRBO you rent timeshare points basically and they make a reservation for you. It's not an actual condo that someone owns.

Try pricing Vacation Strategies or Ken Price or Farrell. They are companies that deal with WBC all the time and it's not maybe a random person on VRBO

Thanks Chelley00! I talked with DH a bit more and he says his biggest complaint about WH was that the townhouse was a little small. I've looked into the homes there and that might be a good compromise for us. More research to do!

We used Vacation Strategies when we stayed at Bonnet Creek, and I'd recommend renting through them, if you decide to stay there. We are a family of 5 and the 2 bedroom suite was pretty nice.

We also rented WBC through Vacation Strategy with no issues. They are listed on VRBO as well and their rates are listed. Not sure when in April you are going, but part of April is value season and you can get a pretty good rate for WBC then. There are a lot of activities, pool side games for adults and kids, bonfire at night, mini putt, lots of pools, a couple of lazy rivers. We loved it there. They open up one of the presidential suites at night so you can watch the fireworks. We didn't have one complaint about our stay there. Can't wait to go back!

Thanks everyone! I ended up putting a hold on a house in WH, more roomy and quiet!
