Wyndham Bonnet Creek, responsibilities and general questions?

Hi, I'm so excited, in less then a week now week we will be at WBC for our first offsite stay. I have some questions, maybe you guys can help me with.

I stayed in a timeshare roughly 20 years ago and at that time when we arrived we had to take an inventory of the room. We had to account for appliances, dishes and such. Is there some sort of review of the rooms and their contents when we first arrive ?

Other questions - Are there towels at each pool area or do we bring some down from the room?

I plan to go to the Super Target nearby and buy laundry detergent and groceries, do I need to buy dish detergent also ? Are there any cleaning supplies supplied ?

I understand we don't have room service during our stay, but what are our responsibilities for cleaning up the rooms when we check out ?

I understand there are grills to use? Where are they ? Are the Gas grills ? What do I need to supply in order to use them ( other than food!) ?

Has anyone rented a pool cabana ? How much was it and what was included ?

Thanks !:flower3:

Check out the "The we loooooove Bonnet Creek thread part2" for the answers to all of your questions.

There is no inventory "check" system, you check in, go to your room, and when your stay is up you just leave. It's just like a regular hotel except no daily housekeeping.

They used to have you run the towels thru the laundry when you left (you could just start the washer when you left..), and take out all the trash/etc.

They no longer require that.

My guess is that due to the large number of non-timeshare types who have discovered the resort, they were running into a lot of people who didn't understand the unique nature of timeshare resorts and their little quirks.

You even get that here a lot with either the lack of daily housekeeping, or even the whole idea of why there haven't been restaurants onsite. (hotel restaurants aren't cheap to run and aren't always self-sufficient due to the rather small customer base they have to draw from.)

Not required, but I'd look things over to see if anything major is missing. It would be frustrating to start to cook and find out you're missing a pot.

At the pools. They sign them out to you.

I've heard both ways on diswasher detergent -- some say you have to buy more, some say they provide it. If you're coffee drinkers, don't forget filters.

None.

Between the buildings, very large, very nice gas grills with picnic tables as well. You'll need your cooking utensils.

$50 for the day. Two lounges, several chairs, large TV, fan, refrigerator. Should be pictures on one of the other threads.

Just to note.... I have heard other prices for the Cabanas such as $100 for the day. I believe they may adjust the cost based on the demand/season. (ie... more expensive during Spring Break/Summer than they are during the fall/winter).
