No Experience with the hotel, But the timeshare resort which shares the property I have stayed at.
The Property is Very nice. You can find out some details on the timeshare side which shares the amenities with the hotel in the I Loooooovveee Bonnet Creek threads.
The bus service to the Disney parks is pretty decent for an off-site hotel. Definately better than a lot of other off-site shuttles.
The big thing to be aware of is that the Grand charges a daily Self Parking (Or Valet) fee, as well as a daily "Resort Fee" which is above your nightly rate. It might be worth also looking into renting from an owner on the Timeshare side since you can often get a 1bdrm unit (or even a 2bdrm) cheaper than what you'd spend at the Grand with your nightly rate+daily fees. (There are some trade-offs though since you would be staying in a condo instead of a hotel)
Thanks for the advice, especially the parking/resort fee! I am staying there for work and was thinking about extended my trip a few days and not switching rooms. Seems like that will work well.
We stayed in July and loved it !!
I was aware of the parking fee and resort fee but I was still getting it a lot cheaper than I would at a Disney resort with discounts !
Nice resort, rooms great ,restaurants nice ,pool and hot tubs nice !
Cannot give you any info on resort bus as didn't use ...enjoy !
We've booked the Wyndham Grand Orlando for 12 nights next June so I've found this thread really helpful Like the previous poster, even with the resort fee it's coming out a lot cheaper for us to stay here rather than a Disney hotel. In fact we stayed onsite last year and passed the road into Bonnet Creek everyday so I don't think we'll feel too much removed from the magic
