Hypothetical question <for now>

You have 7 <3 adult, 4 children> 10 day MYM Hopper passes that expire.
At the end of your vacation you have 3 day's left on each pass,
would you:

Convert them into the non-expiring, saving 3 day's for another trip in a few years <cost approx. 750.00>, or toss them and rebuy tickets when you plan another trip?

What if you had 4 day's left, would it make a difference?

TIA

Do you also have the plus option? 7 tickets at $750 for three days is still a great deal. That is about $107 for a three day ticket for each person (child and adult I did a quick average) which is a good deal especially since ticket prices may/will go up. Also, you are getting an even better rate on the days you use for this trip since you bought the 10 day option. You can always average out the cost per day for both trips adding in the additional 750 it would cost to add the no expiration option. That is what I would do. If I had 4 days left over, I would even be more incented to add the no expiration option.

But then as my friend says, "then you have money tied up in inventory, and I just don't like to do that..." Boils down to personal choice I know. But wouldn't it be great to go on your next trip and have the tickets already paid for?

I agree with Eliza. However, they would start doing what APs do, they lie around in a drawer screaming "use me"

This is almost exactly my situation. We will be there for 8 days and have a package for 8 days tickets but I will upgrade for 10 days and add non-expire once I get there, to save for the next trip. The benefits according to what I have summarize - you already have a sunken cost for the 8 days, because this trip is planned and budgetted, therefore the extra 2 days is very cheap compared with buying another 5 days or more ticket later on. Also the cost of adding no expire is cheaper than having to purchase another set of tickets as well. At first I was struck with the cost of no expire but once I crunched the #'s I realized that purchasing 2 sets of tickets at one price was absolutely more cost effective if you were sure about making two trips. In my mind that was the only question. Sorry if it is too long.

I would add the non exp. you know prices are going up...and perhaps next trip you can do 3 days at the parks and get a Blizzard beach only pass (if you have no plusses), or DQ, or TL pass. I think the benefit is that you will then know they will not expire (unlike my AP) and you can use them in 18 months or when ever. I also think you might be more likely to to a DTD and Resort pool day too. Plus on the flying days there is not always time to do the parks. You can always go to places like Chef Mickey or the Broadwalk and do disney things without going in to the park.

From what I have researched you save by adding the features in advance. If you wait to add them once you are there you pay the full price. Might save ya a 'little' bit more. Unless I suppose you already purchased the tickets, I believe it only applies when you first purchase your MYW tickets.
