Hey all!

So, back in July, I purchased DL tickets via Viator during the Amazon discounted sale they had going on. A couple of things has popped up in the meantime.

First, we have another adult coming. So, we'll have to buy him a ticket at the current prices. But, with either Target or Disney Gift Card discounts, it will likely be around $60-80 more than our original price which...not ideal but could definitely be worse.

The second one, and the bigger one...is DL came out with the kids' ticket deal. I knew there was a chance this may happen, but with the crazy economy, I didn't want to assume and then have them not do a promo this year. So, I went ahead and purchased the kids tickets. Sure enough, the kids ticket promo came out. The ticket promo would save us $300, which is nothing to sneeze at, and worth it for me to see what I can do.

I thought I could perhaps upgrade one of the kids tickets to the adult ticket. We'd have to pay the difference, but it seems to be doable. And it shouldn't be a huge difference. Then, I would just need to figure out what to do with the second one. Perhaps "re-assign" it? BUT...I do question whether we will get our money back doing it that way. Yes, selling them for what we paid for them would be cheaper than face value currently. But, I suspect people looking for unused tickets are wanting a pretty big discount.

So, then I think maybe I just pocket the extra ticket and upgrade it to an adult ticket in the future, whenever that time may be.

Anyway...WWYD in such a case?

I would probably upgrade one of the kid's tickets to adult and save the other one for later. You can't legally resell a ticket I don't think, unless maybe you gift it to someone you know and they return the favor in some way 🙂
