WWYD: which parks on which days?

If you were going to Disneyland end of April/May first Monday-Wednesday would you let go of your MM on Tuesday to be able to open DCA without the Extra Hour people? Staying off property and we don't have Park Hopper tickets. I typically really like my Magic Morning especially if it is early but I don't know how far "behind" we will be if we start an hour later than other folks in the park.

DCA isn’t bad to start at rope drop after EMH because only hotel guests are in ahead of you.

I’d probably want to do DL-DCA-DL, though, and Wednesday mornings are my favorite time to hit DL, so I don’t think it’s that big of a deal to give up your MM if you decide to do that.

I have had this exact same question with these exact same dates and variables. We finally decided to do DCA on Monday and Disneyland Tuesday and Wednesday so we could use our MM and also avoid the crowded evenings that are going to happen at DCA on April 29th and May 1st because the Avengers Assemble guests will get to start mixing in at 6 PM. I hope that helps you!

Oooo, good thinking on the Marvel guests.

I hadn't seen that! My first inclination was to do DCA on Monday! That way we still get the MM. Thanks!

I've mentioned before - we did standard opening DCA rope drop on an EMH Monday morning this past summer. They scanned us in around 7:30, we got MaxPass, got FP for RSR (8:05 return time), and went straight to the GotG standby line. At 7:50, they started walking the standby folks to GotG. We were in the building ahead of regular park opening and off the ride at 8:07.

Net effect of an EMH we didn't have access to? Five minutes after park opening on the RSR FP return rather than a return right at 8:00. Zero effect on GotG.

In other words - don't let the fact that there are EMH guests in DCA ahead of you influence your decision about whether or not to use your MM at DL. They don't have much of an impact. At least not on a 7:00 EMH/8:00 regular open. Later openings, all bets are off.

Thank you for this! I had a similar question on another thread. This really eases my mind about using MM. Our dates are April 5-7, Fri-Sun, similar situation.
