ressie at 8:35am, for our first day at MK. I was told we probably wouln't get to the park until around 10 am. Now I am wondering if I should skip CM breakfast so we can get to the park earlier. I could change the ADR for CM to Sat pm dinner (that would be our official 1st day at WDW but we are not planning on visiting any parks that day, just haning out at the resort-CBR). I originally planned having breakfast the first am to get us "geared up" for our wk. at Disney. Any advice/suggestions appreciated, TIA, Patty

It might depend on when you are going and how much time you have for the parks.

For example:
If you are going to be there a limited number of days, then I wouldn't waste good park time eating at CM's.

OTOH:
If you are going to WDW during a slow period, you won't lose much by not being at the MK right at opening.

Probably not much help.

planned for MK, the 1st day and our last day. The other days will be spent at AK, Epcot and MGM. I didn't get hoppers so we are planning to spend as much time as possible in each park each day. Also we are going the first week in May and will be traveling with our 4 yr old son. Thanks, Patty

You'll be packing a lot into those five days. And you have two days at Magic Kingdom. And it's your first day. Personally, I'd go to Chef Mickey's and have breakfast. So you don't get to the park until 10:00. Do the things that you should be doing in the afternoon and evening and night. Do as much as you can. Then on your last day, get up for rope drop and get the rest done.

We're two adults with no kids but did a Chef Mickey's breakfast with friends and their little girl. With kids, I wouldn't miss Chef Mickey's. Especially on the first day.
