So I booked the ultimate night of adventure tour for 12/18 on our arrival day myself, dd and a friend who has never been to Disney. I was planning straight to ak as soon as we can leave our bag in our room or with the bell station and be in the park by 12-12:30. I’m familiar with near Xmas logistics as this will be dd’s 4th Xmas trip. Originally the tour was scheduled to start 4:15pm but it was changed to 2:15pm which we makes me worry if there’s any slight flight delay. Originally I had fp for kalihari rapids, primordial squire, and bugs life before the tour so we would be able to do majority of the park before hopping to ep. I started to replace any of the fo with fop with the intention that I would cancel the vip tour if I snagged one thinking I would never be able to score one. Well I was able to grab fop today! Now what do I do? Do the tour and fop via fp? Cancel the tour and try to hit the same rides ourselves?

If this is your arrival day and you are flying, I would cancel the tour. That's a lot of money to lose if you have a delay.

Can you just do AK a different day? With crowd levels at a 10 it wont matter what park you go to on what day if you have a plan (or the tour).

I would still do the Ultimate Night of Thrills but on a different day. Once you have a new day, keep looking for FoP FPs and if you get you can ride twice. One with FP and second time with Ultimate Night of Thrills.

I agree! I’m cautious about even booking an ADR on arrival day let alone a tour. Unless your driving then that’s a different story. I would bump it to another day. Have fun!

I agree with the previous posters. Too much money to take a chance with on time winter air travel. I would suggest you call Disney and let them know that since they changed the time you now need to reschedule your tour to another day.

i've been trying for a month to move it to the next day (my friend is only with us for 2 day) without any luck since it is sold out. i agree that i should cancel it. its too much $ to lose if we are more than an hour delays flying in from the mid atlantic area. we've never had a delay flying to disney in december but my luck is that it would happen when i a tour booked and paid for.

i've been trying to move it to the next day but the tour has been sold out for a while now. TP states a crown level of 3 @ AK that day but who knows its december at disney.

Trust me i tried and multiple time hoping i could get a cast member that could sprinkle some pixi dust on the situation. i am going to cancel it and use the $ for a dessert party and anything dd wants and probably have more than half left over.
