WWYD - Split stay or Stay in place?

So, what would you choose?

• 2 nights at Universal + 5 nights in the cabin

See above -- spend those WDW nights in the cabin. DO NOT attempt to downgrade from Cabin to a 1BR at BWV. You will be bitterly disappointed with that choice!

You have the points to burn and a planned gap before returning to WDW. ABSOLUTELY book the cabin for the 5 night stay!

U on-site FOTL recommended after WDW portion of a trip to avoid grumpiness when in WDW lines afterwards lol

Also, suggest ckg both availability & pricing of U resorts. Absolutely sky rocketed with little APH love.

I blame it mostly on all the disgruntled WDW die hards jumping ship bs challenging the market

True, yet the % of increase is far higher for U onsite deluxe vs other properties I generally book.

Talking half to 2/3rds moresame dates as previous years. Disney & other higher end ones no more than 1/3rd+ vs last year

I'd do the cabins if it is a bucket list item (on my bucket list too!)

Well, we opted to stay put in the cabin for all 5 nights. The deciding factor came down to our dislike of split stays. Since we are already doing a Universal/WDW split, it just didn't sound like a relaxing visit if we have to pack up a second time to move.

Because we own at BWV and have done everything from standard view studios to spectacular grand villas there, we opted to do something completely different this time. Five nights in a Cascade Cabin struck us as being both relaxing and a great last hurrah before we take a long break from Disney.

I canceled the BWV 1BR this morning and after modifying the cabin reservation, we still have points leftover in this UY.

You100% for certain made the right choice. We stayed in the cabins last October and they are absolutely wonderful, and also did a day at Universal ourselves. Have a great time and you won’t be disappointed in the cabins….just awesome accommodations!

Well I was thinking of a 3/4 split and just buy the express pass for Universal and go on your 'split' day, but now I'm thinking I should do the cabins at some point. Didn't have much interest before but so many great accolades for them can't be ignored.

And if it's your bucket list, booking all 5 nights is worth it to you! Enjoy!
