Out passes are about to expire for disney. Now we have to decide which park to get passes for. I haven't been to universal since I was a kid. So I am clueless. Does universal allow you to bring in bags of snacks and water? Just trying to figure out the best way to go.

We love universal. Their APs are reasonable, and so far the renewal on them HS made it worth renewing even if we will only have four or five days in the parks per year. Recently the AP customer service have let it be known that even the Power Pass gets you a hotel room discount (I there are hotel discounts when you are going) which is pretty great.

Yes they allow snacks and water in. The only issue is if you will be riding any of the 7 or so rides that don't allow ANY bags. Your stuff then has to go in a locker. But that's just something to plan for, not worry about.

Head over to the Universal forum here!

I would opt for Universal, personally.

As well, as someone who doesn't have an AP but has a friend that has both a Disney and a Universal AP, she gets more goodies to share with non-AP friends than with Disney. For instance, she can buy reduced price Halloween Horror Nights tickets for her friends. Which saved ME a bundle last year!!
