WWYD? Savannah view @ Jambo or Kidani?

We love the pool view @ AKV - our daughter loves sitting on balcony people watching and taking in the splashes down below! This time, we thought we'd surprise the kids with a savannah view room as we feel it's time to experience the animals right outside of our room - we want to eat breakfast on balcony and watch the animals!

We are contemplating staying at Kidani as we are going in July and are anxious to check it out. That being said, we enjoy Jambo House very much too, so I was wondering where you would or are staying for your next AKV trip? Would you stay Savannah view @ Jambo or at Kidani? Is there anything different about them?

Personally, if I was booking Savanna View, I would choose Kidani. The rooms are bigger, and the 1BR and up villas have an additional bathroom over Jambo House. Other reasons are that the new Savanna they will open with Kidani I believe is supposed to have some different animals than they have currently. Also, parking at Kidani is on the ground floor under the resort. I'm hoping that there will be additional entrances that may put you closer to your room than some of the long hallway walks in Jambo, but at least you don't have the walk from the parking lot, and on those rainy days, it is covered parking.

If I wanted to save some points, I would go with Standard view at Jambo because you get the pool view, which isn't guaranteed in Kidani. Value and Concierge are a given at Jambo since they don't have those booking categories at Kidani.

Once they complete construction on Kidani, and the Sunset Savanna returns to normal, you can't go wrong on Savanna view regardless of which building, it will just be better suited for a DVC stay where they are building specifically for DVC instead of "squeezing it in" at Jambo, IMO.
