WWYD? Resort stay vs package...

Okay, I currently have a room-only ressie booked for 10 nights at the Poly for about $2000/total. I received a code for kids eat and play free. If I use this code at a Mod it would be $3566/total - that includes the room, tickets for all and dining for all. Now the thing that is in question is my DH and oldest DS will be off WDW property at least 2 if not 3 days going to Universal Studios and won't use table dining those days.

If I buy our tickets for WDW it would be an extra $1090/total (I'd only buy 8 day passes) bringing our Poly ressie to $3090/total without any dining. So the deal that is being offered is only $500 more for dining plus 2 extra park days we may not use.

WWYD?? I REALLY want to stay at the Poly, but the kids deal at the Poly is $6323/total and WAY out of our price range. The mod I would choose would be either CSR - where we've never stayed OR POR where we stayed our last trip.

Thoughts/opinions welcome!!

Did you have 2 offers on your e-mail? The offer I got was a choose which 1 works for you e-mail. The second offer was value resort for $377 per person. When I priced out the Yacht Club, it got us 40% off room only. Maybe you could see if the other offer on your code would work @ the Poly & get you a good discount. We were also able to add the dining, if that's what you want.

Well...here is what the other deal gets me:

Polynesian 10/nights with 8 day regular park passes: $3849.22
Add dining: $4868.82

If I could only add dining to the TA booking I have life would be perfect...

Well even if your DH and DD go to Univ. you could still rollover their dining credits to another day, and do something like a 2 credit dining restaurant. We just came back from the Poly and it was lovely, but expensive. We also checked out CSR while we were there, and I thought CSR looked really great. My kids thought the pool was nicer than the one at the Poly! If we go back (based on cost) most likely we will do CSR - if that helps you any. Good luck and enjoy your trip!
