I'm probably the last to leave for WDW, since our plane doesn't even leave until 7pm on 8/31.

We fly out Sat morning (9/1). I haven't chatted much on this thread but I've kept up reading it. This is the part I dread, the anticipation before the trip. Because all too soon it will be over.

I will be very interested to hear everyone's responses when you get back from your trips.

We are leaving the 1st but are driving so we won't be home until 9/2.

We get back really late on the 2nd. I would have stayed even longer if school didn't start for my kids on the 4th (I figured we'd need at least one day of drama in between for my freshman daughter to decide what her "first day of school" outfit would be!).

We leave on Saturday (8/25) and get home on Saturday (9/1) but won't be home until after dark....I will try to post as soon as we get the kids in bed and luggage to the basement so I can do laundry.

Ok so it looks like nobody's getting back before Sept. 1st. Did any of you extend your original plans after getting the upgrade? I really wanted to, but I can't take any more time off of work. I'm maxing out my vacation time as it is, this being my *ahem* 3rd WDW trip this year! Just can't get enough of the Mouse. Who is the last to get back home? We're returning home late on the 9th, and then it's right back to work & school the next day. I never seem to learn that I should come home on a Saturday... it's too hard to "waste" a day that I could be still in WDW!

Are you guys all getting really excited? I know I am!! I have already fallen totally and completely in love with SSR, and haven't ever even seen it in person! I always loved going by in the buses and seeing the round tower with the horse on it and the DVC ad... it still hasn't really sunk in that I will actually be staying there.

We should post our itineraries, we can see if anyone will be in the same place at the same time. This is so much fun! I've got my LGMHPC's all ready to go, I even made up a bunch of them still on the backing (decorated of course so they no longer look like paint chips) and laminated them so they are like calling cards, if I see any of you I'll be giving you one! I've met a few DISers at WDW on previous trips but I can never remember their names, I figure this way at least they can remember who I am.

Were leaving WDW 9-11 I'm scared to fly on that day but my DH has to go back to work.My Dh get 1 vacations a yr so we only get to go once a yr.When my kids get older I'll take them by myself but there to young for me to fly and handel them in the park.Plus who will push the stroller if my DH isn't there.

Today has been busy, my kids went back to school today and I went and got my hair done .I hope my roots don't start showing while were at WDW.I was suppose to get my hair done the day before we left but my stylist had to rescheldule. I have to go get groceries tomorrow and than I'll start packing.I would like to be packed by sunday night. So we can jam all the luggage into the car and be ready on Wen. when my kids get out of school.
Have you seen the family who in the airport with way to to much luggage?That's me I way over pack.Is anyone bringing a pair of pants or sweatshirts?Last yr I did and it was soooo hoooot.

Calyspo-Are you packed yet.You must be getting excited! Have you woken up with that "feeling"in your stomache yet?

Lanajae- I tasted that capri-sun at first I didn't like it to much and than I shook it up more and it tasted better.My kids love it so that all that matters.I also don't like sweet juice so I think if I put less in it may taste better.Thanks for letting me know about it.

I am feeling the same way about my hair, I don't want to spend any money to go fix my roots, but I know if I buy a kit myself, I'll really make a mess of it.

I am bringing a light pair of sweats - ones from disneystore.com, they're kind of like terry cloth, but it'll probably be too hot for them.

Oh heck no, I'm not bringing any pants or sweaters! I went the same week (Labor Day week) last year and the heat nearly killed me. I was a sweaty mess before we even got into the parks, I really just do not do well with the heat/humidity combo. I do bring some lightweight capris, but that's because I have a hard time finding shorts that fit right. I don't like bermuda shorts, they are always too loose in the waist and legs and too tight in the hips and belly - NOT a good look! And most non-bermuda shorts are very short on me since I have long legs. So capris it is, since I have only 2 semi-ok pairs of shorts. I'll be bringing tank tops and light tshirts. They don't look the best on me but hey, it's vacation and it's hot and I'd rather be comfy than pretty. Well I'd rather be both, but if I must pick one, I pick comfy.

I've given up on my hair, I got it cut last month and I hate it, they guy did such a horrible job that I went back the next day and they gave me the same guy again. Now it's much shorter than I like, so it's curling up uncontrollably and just looks weird. I'm not going to pay for highlights on a cut that I'm so unhappy with even though I really need them, it's like putting lipstick on a pig. My DD8 says she likes my natural "shiny silver highlights," apparently they are "way cool."

M2DDs: I think flying on 9/11 should be fine. I would imagine it would be extra safe, they probably beef up security a lot around that day.

Its going to be hot and busy the first wkend than hopefully after that the parks will so down.
So what is everyones plans for the day of labor day monday.here's what I have so far.
HDDR at 5:00 pm
I know that Ak has EMH but I wonder if everyone is going to flock to that park in the am because MK closes at 6:00 and most don't have park hopper passes.
MGM has evening EMH 8-till11 so people we also flock there in the evening.
So that leaves me at Epcot or MK (may be busy because of labor day)So where is everone eles going that day.I'm thinking epcot(don't tell anyone so I can have the park to myself )

We're not doing a park on labor day. That day is our "free" non-park day. I figure it's going to be busy on that day anyway. We plan on resort hopping that day and maybe some miniature golf that day (maybe fantasia gardens). I know that I plan on doing some shopping in DTD that day too. It'll be jam packed with stuff. We are eating at Chef Micky's that day and that nite, we have ADR's at the SCI-FI dine in at MGM (okay, I guess I will be at a park that day). We are doing epcot on Saturday 9/1 and MK on Sunday 9/2. Tuesday, 9/4 we are doing AK, Wednesday 9/5 MGM and Thursday 9/6 we are going to Typhoon Lagoon. We leave Friday 9/6. I guess that about sums up our itinerary. Okay, it's someone else's turn.

Let's see, on Labor Day (only two weeks from today!!) we will be doing morning EMH at AK. Then we head over to Planet Hollywood for a 3pm ADR. Back to SSR for a quick nap and to change for the P&P Party. My DD8 insists on calling this the PP Party and laughing hysterically every time. My parents will pick up DD3 early from the party so DD8 and I can enjoy the rest of the party on our own. DB and his GF will be - where else? - at Pleasure Island for the evening.

Somehow when I write it all down like that, it sounds much busier than when I see it laid out on my spreadsheet! On there it's more like:

Simple and relaxing, right?
I had to write everything out, because my family needed a decoder for my spreadsheet.

Who is the last to get back home?

We fly back on Sept 15th. We are really getting a deal, 14 nights of OKW at ASMo price with free dining. I'm still giddy about it!

Our Labor Day plans have us attempting MGM even with EMH that night.

I'm catching up on laundry today so everything's ready to pack tomorrow. Got the house all cleaned (hate leaving a messy house!), still need to bathe the dog before she goes over to "Grandma's", and last but not least...I took care of my silver highlights yesterday. Of course, my hair really looks too dark right now, so if you see Elvira~Mistress of Darkness...be sure and say "hello"!
