WWYD Employer Changed Address Wrong

My employer changed my address to another employee's address. I caught it when my payroll check that was hand delivered that it was not right - BUT my 401K statement went to the wrong address.

Im not exactly sure what to think, Im a bit PO'd that it happened but I know people make mistakes BUT this is sensitive information...

If they got your 401K statement I would think they would bring it to you unopened.
If they opened it then you can do something. But go to HR and have them fix it.

I'd make sure my employer had the corrcet information for next time. And I'd ask the employee whose home my information went to if they would bring it to work for me.

They did that at my company (but I don't think it happened with 401k statements) I think what happened was that when they centralized and relocated our HR to Greensboro, NC they accidently had everyones name matched with the next address - so that it was all completely wrong - But it got fixed now.

OP - I hope you got it fixed with your HR.

I thought I had it fixed when I saw my paycheck with the wrong address, but apparently the 401K info was on another system. Both are correct now, but jesh what a pain - I hate moving!!

I did ask the person if they received it & they have not, said he would bring it in if he did.
