First off here is who is going. Me the mom, Dad, DD 7, DS 4, DD 2, my sister, and her DS who is 14. I have a few leftover days on a ticket but am not sure how many until I get there.

We are staying 9 nights because we are using frequent Flyer miles for three tickets. I have a reservation on hold for two rooms, at Pop Century, with the dinning package, and no tickets but the base ones yet. So which is the cheapest way to go? Buying from Ticketmania, because we plan on hitting Universal, or buying a park hopper for all days of Disney from Disney? We thought a 7 day ticket is enough for each of us, but possibly only buying a 5 day pass for one of us to use the leftovers on our old passes.

WWYD?

Since you must buy at least a 1-day base ticket for each person on your package, it would make more sense to buy the passes thru Dsiney rather than to get passes to cover all your remaining days from Ticketmania.

That 1-day MYW base pass has a value of $67.10 for each adult. To upgrade that to a 10-day pass at Disney, you would pay an additional $156.55. If you were to buy a 9-day MYW Base pass from Ticketmania to use in addition to that 1-day base ticket, it would cost you $214.

I you need different ticket lengths for different people in your group, it's a good idea to get the 1-day passes on the package and then let everyone upgrade their own passes to whatever they need at Guest Services.
