Okay...here is my dilemma.

I currently have a 2 bedroom suite booked at BWV for January.

A friend of mine works at Disney and is working on seeing if he could get us the 40% off discount for two rooms at Poly.

But that is my dilemma...which one do you think would be better? Granted, we are huge Poly fans and love everything about the resort. We also love the monorail b/c we spend lots of time at MK and will have four kids at the time...ages 7, 5, 2 and 3 months.

But...I am worried that we won't get adjoining rooms and that could be very hard since the family would be split up at night.

OR...should we stick with our original plan of BWV? I have never stayed there so I am a bit hesitant. Pros...we would all be together in one room, there is a living room that I could go to if the baby is up at night, and there is a washer/dryer in the unit.

Cons...no monorail and a new resort we don't know well.

Opinions please? Very torn on what to do. :confused3

I'd go with the villa. It's LOTS of extra room and having travelled with a 3 month old earlier this year myself...that washer and dryer would have been a BIG thing. LOL Having the living room to hang out in once the kids are asleep is great too. Also would have been nice for if the baby wakes in the middle of the night. The monorail is nice, but I would still rather have the 2 bedroom with a baby.

That said, we loved the BW (we did the BWI not the villas but have done a 2 bedroom at VWL). My 2 older sons (who were 6 and 4 at the time) LOVED the pool there. That is there #1 favorite pool of any of the resorts we've stayed at and we've done all the deluxes now. I loved the atmosphere there too. I loved being able to go walk on the Boardwalk at night. I took each kid alone for one night for a "Mommy/Son date" and we would go get a treat from the ice cream shop or Seashore Sweets and sit on the Boardwalk talking and people watching. They, and I, consdier that one of the best parts of that trip. :)

It is really convenient to get to Epcot and MGM so you still have convenience to 2 parks. We didn't find the MK transportation to be a big deal. I was worried about it but honestly we were fine with it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Definitely BWV. All the reasons you mentioned plus some more. You will love:love: a two bedroom and will find it so hard to go back to "regular" rooms. Have some groceries delivered so that you know you have some healthy foods your kids will eat for breakfast, snacks, etc. Maybe some beer/wine for you and DH (unless you don't drink, then have it delivered to me:lmao: ). You can pack less and use the w/d. You will love the location. It would take more then a 40% discount to pry me out of a 2 bedroom villa.

Thanks for the advice. It does make sense to stay in the villas, doesn't it?

I think I will tell my friend to forget it...

I just have to tell dh to get over his fear of clowns and get in the pool...:scared1:

I think the washer/dryer is the most enticing feature of the entire stay :thumbsup2

BWV is our home resort and I have a hard time staying in 'regular' hotels anymore.

We just got back and with the heat/humidity and two kids (5 and 3) I did laundry almost every day. Just threw a load in before we left for the day and put it in the dryer when we got back. I recommend 'Dropps' laundry gel tabs, I found them at Walmart and they are fairly cheap and very easy to throw in your suitcase.

I bet you will love the BWV! Having a room that is not a bedroom is great when the kids are sleeping and you are not!!!

I would stay with the BWV, We stayed there for the 1st time in August and we loved it. We have stayed in GF w/monorail, but the convience to walk to Epcot was so much better than monorail, especially with a little one. It was nice to just put him in the stroller and walk over to the countries and eat. Also my 2 year old GS LOVED the boardwalk, there was so much going on, the street acts, he loved.

The Washer/Dryer is also a big help, less to pack, I think a lot more room than 2 adjoining rooms.
