We were planning on going the last week of July for 3 days and then I realized basically the week before is the 60th birthday. Would you rather be there for whatever celebrations may be planned or as a first timer do you think the crowds will be too much. I'm seriously considering making it 5 nights but DH thinks 5 nights will be too much. Opinions about that would be helpful too. Thank you.

That should be right after the anniversary, unless you mean June?

Nm, reread.

Uh. Well, I dunno, I'd probably stay longer just because it's hot and people move slowly and get cranky in the heat. You could schedule in more pool time that way and it would be more relaxing.

I would definitely stay longer to enjoy the celebrations! Yes there will be crowds, but in this case I think it's worth it. New Years or Christmas, those wouldn't be worth it to me.

Thank you. We've had a development. Turns out DHs nephew is getting married on July 25th. DH wants to go, I don't, it's in Sweden. So it's going to have to be the week of DL birthday. I'm a little nervous about the crowds but excited too. If anyone can point me to a thread about touring on crowded days that would be helpful. :)
