WWOHP then Checkout do-able?

Hi everyone--
Newbies at US and we have a group of 11 going, including my 83 yo mom using an ECV.
So we are only staying one night on property. Coming from WDW on Dec 21 and will do US that day. Stay at RPH that night. Then moving off site to Doubletree for the one night before flying out.
Okay, so trying to figure out how to best do WWOHP/IOA and checking in and out of hotels the next day.
On the 22nd...
1) Get up early, do early entry to WWOHP then come back and check out by 11am and/or transfer luggage to Doubletree then come back to finish IOA.
OR
2) Get up early, checkout and leave luggage with bell services all day then come back and transfer all to Doubletree in the evening.

OR some other strategy that I haven't thought of.

We're doing just one night at RPH and 2 days at the Universal parks. We're just packing a simple overnight bag that we'll chuck in the car when we check out that morning on the way to the parks.

I'd probably opt for number 2.

It's doubtful that Doubletree will hold your luggage the way the Universal hotels do and checkin isn't technically until 4. You may be able to check in early but not 7 or 8am. I would leave everything at Universaal until you are ready to head over to Doubletree. You will have FOTL all day anyway, may as well take advantage of it.
