Hi All,

Would anyone be willing to summarize the locker situation at WWOHP (i.e. cost, which ones to use, where they are, and any other tips or tricks)? I apologize because I know it is covered somewhere...remember reading it, but cannot recall from which thread and I do not feel like re-reading each one again.

You can see I am a new user and I apologize for asking for this. Also please know, I do not want to come across as being a leech, complainer, or lazy.

I have been attempting to do my homework re-reading many of the threads and searching them, but I am now getting this sense of being overwhelmed. Has anyone ever felt this when researching and trying to "plan" their trip? Like you are going to miss something or forget something once you get to the parks? Any advice on how to deal with this?

Thank you for your time and any info and advice in advance.

Blessings.

Welcome! :)

To summarize the locker situation: lockers are located in Hogwarts Castle when you enter for Forbidden Journey, they are on your right, you can't miss them. The lockers for FJ, as well as any ride that requires lockers are free for the duration of the ride (and the wait in line). To rent a locker you just go up to a kiosk and click rent a locker, then you will use a finger print as a "key". When you are done with the ride the lockers are on your right in the giftshop, simply go to the same kiosk and put your finger on the machine and your locker will open.

Don't worry about asking questions, everyone here is very friendly and willing to help!

Universal is pretty laid back and doesn't require the planning that Disney does, so you don't really need to plan a terrible amount. :thumbsup2 If you have alloted enough time in the parks, you can see everything you want without missing anything (about a day a park). You will have a great time!

Thanks I was wondering the same thing. You answered my question as well.

Just make sure to remember the locker number and which finger you used. The free time will be related to how long the wait on the ride is.For example FJ's lockers were free for 2 hours last weeks and the standby line ranged from 45-90 minutes.

I read in another thread that those lockers can be very congested, and a better bet is to pay ($3?) for a locker by the Hogwart's Express. Am I remembering this correctly?

The lockers are conjested and there are times when you have to wait for a locker to become free. I usually just cut through Filches or whatever it's called to get to the lockers. Many times, all the lockers are in use and you have to wait for a locker to open up. It's usually not too bad.

On Thursday night at around 6pm, the FJ locker 'free' time was 6 hours and 25 minutes when the wait was 90 minutes.

I guess you could use Dragon Challenge's lockers though.

No wonder the lockers stay full if the free time is 6 hours.

The problem with this is when Dragon's Challenge has a very short wait.. but it might be worth checking how long it is free for.

I'm new to US/IOA as well, and I was wondering-does every ride have lockers nearby/connected to them? Do you need lockers for Mummy, Jurrasic, or any of the non-roller coaster rides, or are there places I can stash my bag inside the vehicles?

All rides that don't allow bags have free lockers, which are Hulk, Dueling Dragons and Forbidden Journey in IoA and Mummy, Men in Black and Rip Ride Rockit at the Studios. Some other rides (like Dudley) have lockers, but aren't required.

Thanks WWEDude!

No problem :thumbsup2

Wanted to emphasize - if one kiosk says lockers are all rented, that just means the lockers around that kiosk. You can go to another screen to try. People tend to cluster by the first sets of lockers for FJ, when there are more in the next row that may be open. Be sure to look at what it tells you the free time is - we had it as low as 25 minutes when we went for early entry (because the line was so short!)

The water rides have lockers, but those are not free.

If you forget your locker number, you can have the screen scan your fingerprint to find your locker, but you need to remember which section it is in.

That is sooo much better than Busch Gardens Europe. I have lived near BG since it was built and they just recently added the requirement for lockers on all of their coasters but they aren't free. Its such a ripoff to me...why should I have to pay them to ride their ride when I've already paid to get in the park?!
