We are planning on walking through but not actually riding the rides because we have small kids and grandparents with us and no one is up for the coasters. Has anyone done this and how long should I allow to explore?

Wow, if I didnt know any better I would swear this is one of our posts! :) We are in the same boat. Small kids. Grandparents. Motion sickness and vertigo. And none of us have so much as watched or read anything HP related. We have been wondering the same thing - so glad you asked!

Doesn't seem much point in you going at all

I'd still allow an hour minimum if you are a fan. It will take about 15 minutes to walk through the castle if you want to observe everything. If you want to shop, then another 45 minutes or so. There are a few shows if you are a fan, but if you know nothing about it then I wouldn't bother.

Yeah word on the street is at least do the Castle Tour, so we will probably do that.

As for why we are going - we are spending $85 a person to people watch basically. :rotfl:

Our plan is to do somewhat of the same thing. My oldest DD(8) and my DH will be doing the roller coaster thing because dd is tall enough. However, my 2 yo and I will do the whole people watch thing and enjoy the surroundings.

It is just one day for a few hours. We have never gone before. We do plan on the fast pass thing so that we wont be stuck in line longer than normal.
:goodvibes

S'sMom, just wanted to say, your kids are so darn cute, love your DD's smile :)
