What an amazing forum!!! I wish I would have signed on sooner!

We're going to both parks starting Monday the 4th.

I am a larger person - all over - and I wonder if anyone has experienced issues with fitting into the seats. Especially the HP stuff - I don't want to miss out on sharing that with my kids, who have grown up with HP!

(5'11' 300 lbs. large chest and legs)

Thanks everyone!
I will certainly be posting info about our visit, so that others can benefit from my experience, as I have benefited from all of your posts!!!

Harry Potter FJ seems to be really odd when it comes to who can and can not fit. I am about 250 and fit just fine getting the green light. My sister who is about 210 could ride in the seats that allow the yellow light. It really depends on your body SHAPE more than your overall weight.

Check the test seats outside the ride. If you are getting a green light, your are fine. If you are getting a yellow and maybe even a red, either ask the workers outside the ride or attempt to get on. The workers that get you in the seat are great and will do their best to get you the yellow or green light.

There is a large thread about this. Entitled something like "FJ- who fits, who doesn't" or something like that. Search back a couples pages, it shouldn't be too far back.

I didn't have a clue that there were weight/height problems on this ride. Are the ride seats anything like The Sum of All Thrills at Epcot? I am 5'1" 188lbs...I should be Ok right?

even if you end up not being able to ride, you should definitely go thru the queue with your kids. the castle is amazing and not to be missed with all the gems inside. i decided i wasn't even gonna worry about it since i was determined to see the castle. there is an exit right there where you board.

i agree that the attendants do their best to get you in. the first time i rode it was tight and he had to push. i rode the next day and it went right down without any fuss.

<I'll also post this in the original thread>

The first time through, I had no problem. My spouse helped me push down the bar.
The second time, however, there were two very slight ladies, and it did not seem to me that they were trying very hard to push. I was not happy! Not to mention my spouse 'forgot' to help me!!

The third time, again no problem. My spouse helped me, but it didn't take much.

Only once did an attendant tell me to use the end seats, which I did each time anyway. Apparently they are slightly larger.
