WW Weekly Weigh-in

I haven't had a good week. I did journal thru thursday and wrote everything down and used an extra 23 points on top of my flex points. So I started today with a new tracker, thinking I'm back on track, and was ok at work, but went to a friends for dinner, and had a few handfuls of frosted animal crackers, 2 slices of pizza, and chicken kabob salad with regular high fat dressing. So tonight, I say yet again that tomorrow I will stay with in my points and stay in control. I think I'll try getting some exercise this week to to earn some extra points. I'm going away for the weekend to my brothers and he and his wife have been doing ww, so I'm hoping they are on a good roll and will be inspiring me. I won't be weighing in til thursday, so if I can stay on program, I think I can still see a loss. Here's to tomorrow!!!:woohoo:

fofinia- Sorry about the gain. I'm guessing the dining plan was awesome, and worth every ounce. I'm watching for free dining in august, and may go then. Congrats on your great week, and exercise. You'll lose that weight in no time.

MJgirl- congrats on the great loss!!!!

gypsydoodlebug- Congrats to you on your great losses. I can't imagine having your job. It's hard enough dealing with normal eating, to have to eat for your work must be so hard. Sounds like you're doing awesome. Keep up the great work.

Tiggerlover- thanks for the encouragement. It's so hard, but I will not give up!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Tiggerlover and Mikamah, Thanks! I did have a great time at Disney. And the food was good and the dining plan was great. You will love it when you go. But now that the weight is on and I'm trying to be good, I don't remember that food tasting so good!!!! :rotfl:

Mik- hope your weekend is good and healthy! I'm trying the extra exercise idea this week too!

Good luck everyone!!

My weigh in day was Friday and I was down 2 this week!! That makes 7.8 total. More important though- I am doing 30 minutes a day on my elliptical trainer. A month ago I would have keeled over and died if I did more than 10 minutes.

I'd like to add too that I joined WW in January 2006 at 198 and did it off and on all year. I now weigh 175 so I feel pretty good about that!! I'm determined to take off another 40 pounds or so.... I know I can do it!

fofinia, so based on your trip experience would you change anything if you were going again? I am going in two months and have not decided how I am going to approach my eating....I am still thinking about it.

Mermaid02, congrats on your loss, that is fantastic!! Slow and steady wins the race!

Honestly, tiggerlover, I don't know if I would. Two days I went over board for sure. A milkshake for lunch, plus bites of husband's dessert, and dessert after dinner. But I only did that twice. I made good food choices. Got salad for my appetizer. Never ate anything fried, no soda. I definitely drank all my water. And I walked a lot. I wish I had bought a pedometer so I would know for sure. But when I started WW in July I had this trip to look forward to as an end date. I just kept telling myself I can stop dieting when we go on our trip. And that really helped me get through.

I should've not had dessert. But I didn't want to deprive myself of it. I do feel really depressed that I am up right now. :sad1: The scale hasn't budged in 4 days. And I'm afraid that I won't have lost at all on Weds. Of course, I have other anxieties going on right now which are adding to it. Namely a MIL that looks for every opp. to blame me for her not having a close relationship with my DH. so I'm feeling doubly depressed. I hate someone being mad at me. But I have not gone off plan. And I haven't lost my motivation.:cheer2: YET!!

So long story short...If you can not be depressed :sad1: afterwards for going up a little, then no regrets. I don't think I would honestly recommend counting points while there. To me that would ruin the vacation. Maybe just have less dessert.:confused3

I would give anything to go back! Right now!!!

Good luck this week!

Congratulations Mermaid!! Two pound is great. I work out on the elliptical too. Well actually I just started again. And I know what you mean working up to 30 originally is hard. I need to increase my time as well.

Good luck!

Truthfully 15 was pushing my limits when I started. It's really quite a work out. Now I do 30 without much problem- still working hard but able to do it. Next week I'll up it a bit. The hard part now is adding that time on in the morning. I HAVE to do it in the morning or it does NOT get done.

Congratulations Mermaid02 on the great loss. Slow and steady definitely is a good way to go. I'm a very slow loser, not because WW doesn't work, but because I don't follow it on a regular basis. If I stick within my points, I always lose. I've lost 32 in 18 months, and while I wish it was more, I'm very happy I haven't gained any back, and hope to keep it off forever. Nice job on the exercise. It's such a good feeling to build up your stamina. I had to run up 2 flights of stairs at work the other day, and I was pleasantly surprised not to be huffing and puffing at the top. Keep up the great work!:thumbsup2

Fofinia- Hang in there. You're doing a great job, and the scale will catch up with you and move downward. Nice work on the exercise. It's a good stress reliever also. Good luck this week.:cheer2:

Tiggerlover- when we went to WDW in december, we did mainly counter service meals, and I think what helped me the most was having a breakfast bar and fruit most mornings for breakfast, rather than going out for a big breakfast. One morning we went to the food court I had the kids pancake and bacon for breakfast, and it was plenty to eat. I did the worst at the crystal palace buffet lunch. The food was so awesome, and so plentiful, I couldn't help myself. I didn't count points, but after doing ww for so long, I do think points when ordering, and rarely order fried foods. My SIL and I split a burger and fries one night. Vacation is so wonderful.:cloud9:

I kept on track this weekend, but didn't get any exercise as I thought I would.

Have a great week everyone!

fofinia, thanks for your honesty. I know it is hard staying OP when on vacation and I am so afraid of losing control, but yet I don't want to be a slave to POINTS as it would spoil all the fun. Even though it is a week vacation, we will really only be at WDW for 3 days and we have PS at three restaurants and will wing it the rest of the time. Breakfast will be hard for me as I always have a 2 PT WW shake for breakfast and without a blender that will be next to impossible on vacation! :(

Mik, I never thought about ordering a kids meal....silly me, but that would probably be a benefit.

I kind of blew it this weekend, ate out three nights in a row, one being a Super Bowl party so I know I can easily fall off for vacation. I accounted for my points Friday and Saturday, but Sunday I just can't even imagine how many points I ate. And that is what I am trying to avoid for vacation. Good news is I stayed OP today and hope not to use any flex points as I think I used them all last night!!:scared1:

Fofinia- Hang in there. You're doing a great job,

Thanks! I really need to hear nice voices!!!:thumbsup2

Tiggerlover, Hey other people stay OP at Disney. A lady at my meeting was going to Disney for a grand gathering 18 + people and she was concerned about it. I gave her all my recommendations. Told her how to look up menus etc. Well she came home and had lost 1 1/2 pounds! I personally couldn't stay on plan. But don't be discouraged by me!! I guess it's just good for me that I don't go on vacation a lot. Or I would never lose weight!

And I have to agree with Mikamah's recommendation to Tiggerlover about breakfast. There are hardly any good choices for breakfast in restaurants. All the buffets have fruit sections which are great. But it's a buffet and hard to say no to the other stuff. I also kept granola bars and fruit in my room. And really tried to focus on that.

Actually the boardwalk bakery had a great fruit plate. And if on the dining plan you could use a counterservice credit for it. It had cantalope, honey dew, pineapple, grapes, an orange section and a big strawberry. So I got it to keep in the room. And snacked on it in the morning.

HTH! And good luck sticking to it. I have only used 5 flex points this week. I'm really trying to have a loss this week after my 3.4 gain last week. It better work!! :lmao:

Good luck everyone!!!:yay:

I always have a 2 PT WW shake for breakfast and without a blender that will be next to impossible on vacation! :(

Are there any premixed (canned/bottled) versions of shakes you could have? What about the smoothies they sell in the dairy aisle? I'm not sure how many points they are. You could always have a slimfast shake :scared: I think they are 4 points. I personally don't like them. But my sis does. We do a grocery run at Disney so we can keep stuff in our rooms.

Anyways, Just a thought.

Thanks for the thought, but I don't really care for the Slim Fast shakes. The WW shakes are powder form and you need a blender and ice, so that lets them out. I will just have to make smart choices and hope for the best!

Well when I weighed in on Saturday I was down 4.6 of the 5 pounds I gained last week. It goes to show when you stay on plan and drink the WATER you can lose.

Good job everyone and keep up the good work so as my leader says "I can see less of you next week!":goodvibes

I weighed in today and am down 1.8lbs. :cool1: Just about half of the 3.4 I had gained on vacation last week. So pretty good. Now I'm just hoping to keep my motivation going so I can lose the rest and get back on the losing train!!

Knovak- that is awesome! Whatever you are doing is working! Keep it up:cheer2:

Good luck everyone!!!

I'm down .8 today, and trying to remember slow and steady wins the race. But wishing it was faster. Better than up. I'm am happy with my loss so far, and have just decided to work real hard toward my next goal which is to weigh 181. I have 12 pounds to go. 181 was what I weighed when I first joined ww when I was in my 20s, and when I joined this time I was 45 pounds above that. Kind of funny I remember how fat I felt when I joined that time. I joined with 2 girls from work after working new years eve and eating insane amounts of food, we said we have to do something, and we all joined ww that week and stuck with if for a while. I went down to about 145 and stopped going. If I knew then what I know now, I would have stuck with it back then and made lifetime. And now that fat weight looks sooooo good to me. Thanks to all of you here for the inspiration and motivation. Its so helpful to hear about all of your successes and struggles and to know I'm not alone.

Congrats fofinia and knovak on the great losses this week!! :thumbsup2

Good luck to all this week!!

knovak, congrats on your loss, that is fantastic for one week!! I agree with fofinia, whatever you are doing keep it going!

fofinia, good for you for losing 1.8 this week.....it is so easy to gain while we are on vacation and takes twice as long to take it off!!! You are more than 1/2 way there, great for you!

mik, slow and steady does win the race so hang in there for the finish line!!! It is funny a HS friend of mine and I were chatting today about how we thought we were fat when we weighed 135# and if we only knew then what we know now we wouldn't be struggling with our weight!! I would give anything to be 135# again, but that will never happen so I am embracing my body where I am and where I am heading because I am so much better off than where I was when I weighed 218 pounds. If I only make it to the 150's I can live with that.

I am finally on my new meeting schedule, it has been 10 days since my meeting closed and I weighed in at my new location and I am happy to report a 1.6# loss. After all of the struggling I have been doing lately I will take it. 1.4 to go to WW goal and 3.4 to go to get back to my siggie stats. :cheer2:

Keep on making the right choices and you will be rewarded in the end. Don't beat yourself up when you slip, just pick yourself up and move forward once again.

Hi everyone ... I survived another weigh in ... down a total of 8.4 pounds in 3 weeks. If I keep this up, I can be down 40 pounds by the time I cruise. I'ld be happy with 20 though!!
