WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

So there are three of us there :thumbsup2

That makes four!! We will be at Pop from 17-25th:santa:

Great job everyone on losing and now let's look forward to a new month since like someone said "September was not kind to some". I don't always post, I'm more of a lurker but I really stay more motivated when I read everyones posts. :cheer2:

WTG!! I need to look more into WiiFit. I'm just afraid I won't use it

:yay:

I wondered that too and although I don't use mine as often as I could I really enjoy it when I do. My biggest problem is not having enough time, between working full time and being a mom and wife I often times have other things to do, but when I do make the time I have lots of fun!

Congrats on your loss this week!

I joined WW on September 24th and I am going to weigh in for the first time today. I"m hoping for a loss, but I'm a slow loser and am prepared for the worst. However, I'm going to stick with it because I'm eating better and I know I will be healthier if I follow this program.

I lost my husband in July and I've been turning to food for comfort. I need to put a stop to that and make positive changes in my life.

Wish me luck!

:grouphug: I am very sorry for your loss.

I am a slow loser as well, I averaged 1-2 pounds a week when I was losing, more often it was .8 or 1.2 per week. It was frustrating at times, but the important thing was I was losing and being a slow loser makes it easier to keep the weight off. Celebrate the 1.5 pounds you lost this week, it is 1.5 pounds less that you are carrying right now.

Remember, slow and steady wins the race!!

It's good to hear that you are feeling better. Stress eaters understand how hard it is to deal with food and comfort. Talk about added stress....you get stress about stress eating! I tend to want to eat when I am stresses as well, but I also like to eat to celebrate, when I am sad and when I am bored. It's a pain!

Ditto for me too, I just love food too much. For the most part I am able to make good choices, but once a foodie, always a foodie, I do tend to fall off the wagon every now and again, but thankfully I have learned enough from WW to get right back too it when and if I slip.

tiggerlover...hope you are feeling much better now. Looking forward to seeing you here more often now :goodvibes

I've been struggling the past month. Up and down, up and down. I am currently about 6 lbs more than I'd like to be. Every time I lose a little bit of it, I sabotage myself and go on an eating binge :sad2: ughhhh.

Yesterday's meeting was great though....my leader had a bad month too ~ or as she put it " September was not kind to me" We used yesterday to start off a new month, and a new attitude. Back to square one, thinking first, journaling etc. I am determined to get these 6 lbs off again!
Have a great week everyone!

I am getting there, and I am glad to be back. I am with you on the up and down, it has been like that since the end of August! I am up 4-5 pounds and I would really like to kick them back to the curb! Determination and support here can help us get those pounds off!

I haven't posted in a while but I just had to share my great news tonight. I made my 10% goal tonight!! I've lost 20 lbs since 5/1/08:cool1:

:cool1: Whoo hoo!! Congratulation!!

Wednesday is my weigh-in day. I was so anxious about going in today. I was sure I was going to have a gain. When she said "another three" I thought she meant I had gained. She just laughed and said her face would have looked a LOT different if it was a gain LOL

So my 0.6 lb gain last week and my 3 lb loss this week brings me to a total of 35.2 lbs lost. I felt so good when she gave me my award today, I cried. Now my next goal is to loose another 25 by Dec 17th - the day we leave for WDW
 That is awesome!! I also find myself getting emotional when I do well and reach milestones. You should be so proud.

I am so sorry for your loss. Welcome to this wonderful little thread where you will find lots of support. Slow and steady is the way to do it for permanent weight loss.

Thank you :) That would be cool to meet other DISers. We will be staying at Give Kids the World.

Thanks :)

I hope you had a great weigh-in. So sorry about your husband

How fun!! We're staying at Give Kids the World. This is our first ever trip to WDW. We usually go to Disneyland every other year but haven't been able to go since 2005 due to Drew's medical needs. We are getting VERY excited
You will have a wonderful time. I was talking to a mom of one of my son's classmates who went last january and she said it was just amazing and the make a wish foundation had arranged for all the medical equipment for them and the kids had a fantastic time. What an amazing foundation. That is so great for your son.

Sorry you are struggling. I also am starting this month off right and determined to stay with it. I'm up 10 since the spring and gotta lose it. We can do it.:cheer2:

I had a huge gain yesterday, a little over 6 pounds! My leader said to drink a lot of water this week and that the flight may have had something to do with it but I know that I did not follow the plan at all after the first day. I follow CORE so I should have been able to manage and while I enjoyed the week I had a lot of cravings Sunday night. I have not had them since I started and it was not fun. But I'm back and I made a big pot of CORE soup, shopped for plenty of produce so I have good choices in the house and am back to planning meals.
 Sorry you had a gain. I bet she's right about the fluid. One week I had gained 7 pounds, and the next week I lost about 6 of it, and it was definitely fluid. Keep drinking. Hope your trip was wonderful.

I've been lurking for a while and just wanted to introduce myself. I started on WW on 9/8 and so far I have lost 7lbs. I'm pleased with this, especially because I've never really had any luck with dieting before. My husband is at bootcamp and normally food would be my comfort, but not this time (though I got a puppy which takes up the majority of my time at home).
:welcome: and congrats on your loss so far. 7 pounds is great in 3 weeks.

Hi everyone!

I am in a state of shock...here I thought I lost a total of 5.4 pounds since I started in Sept...well, the girl I had last week weigh me in did not put the NEW weight down...

I have lost exactly .......10 pounds!!!.............WOoo Hooo:woohoo:

The amazing thing is that I have been a bad girl tracking my food, and I ate out twice last week...veal francaise...Mmmmm...but I was a good girl and only ate half the meal, and ate the entire salad and all the veggies.

I had 3 birthday cakes last week. I ate a sliver of each one.

It had occured to me earlier that if I don't indulge a little bit that I think and think about that food for a long time! :lmao:

Good luck to all of you this week! Keep up the good work, and remember it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle! Off to see the weight loss photos!
Who hoo!!:thumbsup2 10 pounds is awesome!!

Hi everyone, I'm back.

Some of you may remember me but for those who don't I'm Tricia. I joined WW back in February and did really well until June. I lost 26 pounds and have about 20 or so to go. Once summer hit and the kids were home from school it was just so hard for me to attend my meetings. I quit WW and tried it on my on. :confused3 Fast forward to now and I'm justing getting home from rejoining. I attend the same meeting I did before and it's nice to still some some familiar faces there. I'm proud to announce that I'm 1/2 pound lighter than when I stopped going three months ago. :yay: So I look forward to going through this weight loss journey with all of you again.
Welcome back and congrats on keeping off your weight. I know from experience that's hard to do!! You should be proud.

Hi there Tiggerlover!! I thought i had this multiquote thing down, but guess not. Hope you are feeling better.

I was up one pound this week, due to late night snacking, which always seems to be my demise. October is going to be better. I am journalling again, and last week I had eaten over 60 extra points, after all my flex points and activity points, so that's why the gain. This week, I'm doing better, and I want to lose this weight before disney in january. I bought 2 pairs of capris on clearance yesterday that are tight, I can button and zip them, but can't wear them out in public, but my goal is for them to fit in january.

Congrats to all who have lost, and hugs to those who have gained. Hang in there. We can do it!! Have a great day.

Ditto for me too, I just love food too much. For the most part I am able to make good choices, but once a foodie, always a foodie, I do tend to fall off the wagon every now and again, but thankfully I have learned enough from WW to get right back too it when and if I slip.

I think we've all fallen into that catagory a time or two. The key is getting right back on and you've proved you can and that's the hardest part. :thumbsup2

hi guys
just thought I'd post this great deal on Weight Watchers magazine. I saw it posted on the budget board today. I got a two year subscription for only $4.80 total! The price will show full price until you finalize the payment, then it goes down to the promotional price.

Thanks cepmom I'm heading to that sight now.

Congrats!

antmaril I'm so sorry about your loss. I hope you find some comfort from this thread. We can all help each other reach our individual goals and make a few friends along the way. :flower3:

It's nice to know I'm not the only emotional one :) I am amazed at the foundation too. I knew they did amazing things but never full understood it all until we were granted a wish. I can't wait to go to disney. I know it's going to be the most amazing thing ever for our family

I can't wait to go!! We're going for DH's 40th b'day. I am a little concerned about crowds....we had originally wanted to go 11/30 - 12/4 (his b'day is 12/3) but I can't get the SW rewards flights on the 30th or the 1st, if we go the 2nd, the hotels are only available until the 4th etc, etc. I tried to get him to agree to 1/4 - 1/8 instead but he wants to go for the Xmas decorations etc. I only hope it isn't going to be way overcrowded.

I am trying to keep expenses down as well. I was not planning on the Sept trip so I am a little nervous. I will be joining my DD, DSIL and my Kady. DH cannot go but is insisting I go with them. I feel selfish because he is staying home but I really do want to join them and see Kady enjoy the decorations.

Great attitude with the new beginning! My leader passed out feathers a few weeks ago and told us to dust off and start new.

A friend of mine was there last year with her family and said that they all had a blast. I know that you and your family will have a great time. I am new to this thread so I am not familiar with your son's medical issues, but I do hope that he is is feeling well.

That makes four!! We will be at Pop from 17-25th:santa:

WOW! What fun is this! It will be easier for me to stay on track knowing that I have friends who are in the same boat visiting at the same time.

Ditto for me too, I just love food too much. For the most part I am able to make good choices, but once a foodie, always a foodie, I do tend to fall off the wagon every now and again, but thankfully I have learned enough from WW to get right back too it when and if I slip.

I love food too. I love to cook, to bake and to eat. I have never been able to understand those "eat to live" folks :confused3

I hope y'all don't mnd me joining in. I just found this thread and it's just what I need now. I've been a WW member for 2 years. I fell off the wagon at the beginning of this summer and forgot to hop back on. I passed my WW meeting today and decided to go in and get weighed. AAARRRGGGHHH! I am now seven pounds heavier than where I started two years ago  I used to go to meetings with my Mom but our schedules are different so we can't go together anymore. I also don't work anymore (SAHM) so I'm not in contact with my WW buddies. Help, I'll take any advice you've got to find my missing wagon!

welcome!!! Well, we've all had those "fall off the wagon" moments, but you made the hardest decision today which was to stop at a meeting and weigh in! You've done this before, so you know you can do it again. I think the meetings will help you tremendously. I could not do this without my meetings. I am not usually the type to go to these type things alone, but I was so sick of myself I just didn't care that I didn't know anyone there. Now I see the same faces each week and look forward to chatting with them. The people at your meeting will become your new support system. Just keep at it and it will click again for you!

What a wonderful accomplishment! You should be so proud of yourself!!!! Keep up the great work.

LuvGoing2Disney7, I just read the link you posted in regards to Drew, thank you for sharing him with us :grouphug: I hope that Drew starts having more and more days where he is seisure free. I am sure there is a lot of excitement preceeding his Make-A-Wish trip, they are a great organization and your son will remember his trip for his life. My niece went on a Make-A-Wish trip several years ago and it just made dealing with her cancer that much easier, these Wishes are great for their well-being. Happy planning and be sure to post some pictures for us when you all get back.

ME TOO! I have a DH and DS who really do not care all that much about eating, which perplexes a foodie like me. I wake up thinking about food and think about it a lot during the day. I wonder why that is for some people and not for others.

:thumbsup2 Absolutely, Tricia!

 Hi, Kathy! Keep on keeping on, it is a day to day battle, but we can do it if we stick with it.

:welcome: MaryKLady! I think there are several WW repeaters here so you are in good company. Support is key to success (in my opinion) so find yourself a new buddy and hang out here and we will all help you on your way.

Onward and downward!!:yay:

I think you'll love this thread. We're all helping each other to get to our goal. I also went to my meeting again for the first time on Wednesday. I took the summer off and am ready to be on that weight loss train again. Hop on because there's plenty of room.
