Great Job Grumpy's Wife!! :cool1: I'm down .2lbs this week. I'm just a tad bloated. Though, I did go shopping after WW and I bought myself some tops and 3 pairs of capris. Nothing fits me from last fall!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:  Have a Great week everyone!

I was down 1 pound this morning. I have been sick the last few weeks and haven't been to the gym so I am quite excited to still have a loss. I hope to get back to the gym Monday! I am 2.2 away from my 10% -- I hope I can get it in the next 2 weeks.

Congrats to everyone for a job well done! Good luck on your new week!

I'm down 2.0 pounds this week.

I hear you on the bloated thing and .2 isn't so bad considering you had such a super week last week. Keep on keeping on and I am sure you will balance out next week. There is nothing like a shopping spree to put us in a great mood (and show off all of our hard work).

I just had to share my non-scale victory from today. There was a huge potluck today where I work honoring the staff of my company, so as a staff member I needed to attend. Until recently, I still would have been in the buffet line eating better than I would have pre WW, but still eating more than I should of. Well, today was the first time I talked my way through the whole event (making wiser choices) and although I wasn't perfect, I feel victorious. There was fried chicken, lumpia, pancit, mayonaise-based salads, breads, cheese balls, crackers, cakes, brownies, subs and very little of the healthy foods. I took a half of turkey sub, removed the cheese and bread and ate the turkey and lettuce, I had a a small scoop of pancit, watermelon, banana, a small protion of couscous/veggie salad and a small portion of cole slaw. I sat at a table where I couldn't get up and get seconds (but I sure did think about it a time or two) and I drank lots of water. At the end I did end up back at the buffet, but all I did was look, think it through and then I walked away. I can't tell you the battle I was having in my head, but I feel like I am a winner. :woohoo:

Isn't that a wonderful feeling. Before long you'll be looking for the next smaller size.

Congrats on the 1 lb. Every pound counts to getting us closer to our own goal.

You did awesome! It's so hard being put in those positions and you showed us that it can be done.

GOOD JOB tiggerlover!!!! Doesn't that make you feel SO good?! And,thanks for the recipes site! I will definitely try out some of them.

I just weighed in and I'm down 3 lbs. this week! YAY! I even ate breakfast out and dinner out this week. I was just very careful. As I mentioned in my last post, at the Mexican restaurant, then I went out to breakfast on Monday. I ordered French Toast without butter and sugar free syrup and a side of bacon, but they brought 4 pieces and I only ate 3. I was very proud of myself for both those outings. Now, tonight I have another challenge of going to a buffet dinner theater :scared1: I know I can control myself though!

Congratulations to you other losers! Keep up the good work! Have a great week! :goodvibes

Thanks everyone! It's the little hurdles that we cross that mean the most on this journey.....one step at a time.

Congrats Marshmelo...3 lbs is great!!!:cool1: How did you make out at the dinner theater buffet?

I've got a very challenging weekend ahead of me. Today is my daughter's birthday and tomorrow is my son's first communion. Both of these events are surrounded by food. :scared: I am going to try very hard to stay on program, eat lots of salad and try to skip both cakes. Wish me luck!

Good luck Grumpy's wife! You have a good plan and you can stick with it. I think I would definitely plan in a little splurge for one of the events, maybe the last one, as a little reward for staying on track. Parties can be so difficult, but you can do it!!!!:cheer2:

Weigh to go Tiggerlover on the pot luck. You are doing so awesome, and as always are an inspiration to us all. One step at a time is definitely the way to go. :thumbsup2

Marshmelo-Whoo hoo!!!! 3 pounds is awesome!!! :cool1:

mfabre- Congrats on your loss. Hope you are feeling better. I find when I don't feel well, that junk food can be so tempting.

bucci818- Congrats on your loss. Any loss is a great loss in my book. Keep up the great work.

I have had a very stressful week, my mom's been sick in the hospital since sat, but doing a little better today. I had taken a few days off because my son was on school vacation, and then felt so torn between him and my mom, it's been tough. So I dealt with it not like a true weight watcher, and ate so much junk, took my son out for ice cream 3 times, and saw a nice big gain today of 4.2. I know I just need to get back into journalling, and that will make a huge difference, so I did journal today. I have still been exercising every morning, so that's one thing I'm doing right. It's great to read about all your sucesses and struggles, and know I am not alone, and that I too can get back on track. The one thing I do have to get me back on track is my work pants. I do not have a size to go up to, and these one's fit me perfect when I am about 5 pounds lighter, so right now, I can feel them getting tight, and I will not let myself go any higher than I am right now.

Congratulations to all of you losers here!! Hugs to any who have been gaining or maintaining. We can do this. :cheer2:

 Hope your Mom is better soon!

You'll get that gain back off, especially since you're exercising. It's so easy to get off program when you have time off or when you're stressed. You can do it!

Grumpy, how did you make out with your challenging weekend? Good or bad, tomorrow is a new day!

Mik, I am really sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she is doing even better today than she was yesterday. When stress comes into our lives us foodies definitely turn to the comfort food, I can relate. But like I said to Grumpy, tomorrow is a new day. I'll be thinking good healthing thoughts for your mom and hope that she will be well and one less stress for you to bear. With a week of on track days I am sure you will see that 4.2 disappear.

Week 2 of Core Update

Week 1 = 3.8 down
Week 2 = 0 down/0 up

Stayed the same this week, but can't complain with a two week total of 3.8. After a big loss the first week I wasn't expecting much, we will just have to wait and see what this week brings.

Hope everyone has a great WW week ahead.

I'm very proud to report that I got on the scale this morning and it didn't go up. It didn't go down either but I still have two more days until weigh in. I need to drink, drink, drink plenty of water today and tomorrow so hopefully we can get it moving again.

The Communion was very nice. I really didn't have a problem sticking to the program with the food. It's the darn cakes that have to go. The garbage man comes today and it's going out.

I hope you all had a great on program weekend.

isn't that a great feeling??? (not the bloating...the shopping  ) I have been shopping like crazy buying all new clothes this year...I even bought two new bathing suits and actually looked forward to trying them on for the first time ever!!!

awsome!! That's what it's all about....making wise choices and although you may not have been "perfect", the wise choices outweighed the not perfect choices!! Whenever I am struggling, I have to remind myself of the quote my leader gave at a meeting...."don't give up what you want most, for what you want at the moment"

 I hope things are better for you this week. And you've been keeping up with the exercise so that's good. We all have times like this and what matters is that you get yourself back on track...every day is a new day to start over. You can do it!!

I had a really bad begining of the week ( I weigh in on Wednesday so the begining of the week for me is Wed, Thurs and Fri) DD had her birthday party on Friday and I overindulged big time. Pizza, ice cream cake, Chex Mix...I felt sick when my binge was over. On Saturday I started over again and have had two great days so far. Working hard at trying to stay OP this week since I saw a 1 lb gain last week.

I'm very proud to report that I got on the scale this morning and it didn't go up. It didn't go down either but I still have two more days until weigh in. I need to drink, drink, drink plenty of water today and tomorrow so hopefully we can get it moving again.

:woohoo: great job. I have DD's Communion this weekend and my niece's next weekend....I'm really gonna need the some good thoughts to stay OP! I plan on making plenty of WW friendly choices so I won't feel too deprived! I'm going to try an angel food cake made with crushed pineapple this week and if I like it I'll make another for the party too.

Woohoo! I made 10%!!!:cool1:

I was down 1.4 this morning--so I've lost 10% of the weight I was at on Jan. 5th!! With the 35 I lost before joining WW, I'm down 63 pounds in the last 2 1/2 years. :goodvibes

Oh, and guess what prize I won at our faculty meeting today!! A whopping 1/2 pound candy bar:rolleyes:. It's going to be shared with the rest of the grade level at our meeting tomorrow--that way I can have just a bite and get rid of the rest of it! But hey, not long ago that thing would already be open and partially gone--my self-control is getting better at least!

Hope everyone had a great Monday!

I weighed in tonight. I was down .75 of a pound. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't more, but hey, it is in the right direction!

Good luck to everyone else over the week.

Good for you! I hear you about the cakes (and sweets in general), it is rough. Yesterday we had celebration #1 for DH's birthday and I had a sliver of ice cream cake and a cookie. I didn't beat myself up over it, just enjoyed it for what it was. Today was a new day!!

cepmom, I love that quote, I will have to put that in my quote book!!

CONGRATULATIONS, DizneeMommy, on reaching 10%!! Keep up the great work, you should be so proud of yourself!!!

NCRedding, congrats to you......every loss is a good loss because it wasn't a gain!!
