Hi all!

I have been doing WW online since June and I love it - but I have a hard time using my 35 flex points when I get AP points. I know you are supposed to eat all the points available, but I really have a lot of them. I feel like the amount of food I can already eat with daily points and AP's is a lot. It seems like adding all the flex points on top of it would ruin the weight loss. I am losing, but slowly and while I'm okay with it, I want to make sure I'm not missing anything by not eating those points.

Actually - I guess I want to hear that it's okay to eat the flex points and still lose weight. I know that it's what they are for, but it seems like so much to me.

Thanks to anyone for advice or personal experience!

i usually eat all my flex and maybe a couple over, oops, and lose around 2 lbs per week

Thanks!! I am just so used to the low carb keeping everything as low as you can philosophy that being able to indulge and eat more is just weird for me.

One of the many reasons I am loving WW!

I too use all my flex (and on occasion a few more:rolleyes1 ) but manage to lose each week. I don't count the activity points. I figure if I can stay at or under my points for the day and use the flex, all the activity is bonus!!

hahaha, I have the same mentality as well, lol

I have been on WW since April (I've lost 28 lbs! Yay!) and I just recently really started using my flex points and my losses have been maybe even a little better than they were before I started using them. It doesn't make sense but I hear a lot of other WW members say that too. I don't use activity points though (I usually get 2-3 a day) so I think that does help. I think you should use them consistently and see how it goes. If you ever hit a plateau and you haven't been using them...then you have nothing additional to give to shake up your routine...do you know what I mean? Good luck!!!!

Sounds good - I just looked back at my week so far and I have eaten 29.5 points over my daily allowance, but all but 2 of those have been AP's - I have really been getting a lot of high intensity AP's from our elliptical and some beginning running and I haven't been able to eat all of them. My main problem comes from the idea of eating all the AP's, (because I know an AP is 100 cals and a daily point is about 60 and I need to refuel my body) and then adding 5 or so flexies on top of that.

But I don't want my body to even consider starvation "gonna hang on to each fat cell" mode...!

Maybe this coming week I'll try eating no more than 4 AP's a day and hitting my flex points. If I still lose on that, I'll try more the next week.

I just have such a mental block to eat MORE when trying to lose weight! But this is the first time I have ever done this much activity during...well...anything in my life! :rotfl: (walking, elliptical and arms 6-7 times a week)

I can give up a potential week of weight loss to see if this works. Thank you ladies - I knew I could count on my DIS!
